"After storing my possessions with Hamburg Self Storage for over 10 years (yea, not a great idea!), they charged me for an additional month even though I had gone in to their office in person on September 27 to vacate the unit. The autopay option wasn't turned off and I was charged for an additional month. When this was brought to their attention, they said, "sorry, we can't issue refunds." I asked to speak to a manager or owner and was told, "He doesn't like to get involved in matters such as this." So, basically after paying on time every month for 10+ years, they thank me by charging me an additional month and not even trying to make it right. Disappointing and shady to say the least."

"Shady business practices, pay attention to the contract before you sign. Be careful If you're only using their units for the short term before moving. My move in date for a new apartment was on the first of the month. I was not able to remove my belongings from the unit until the first and they charged me a full months rent for that one day. Staff told me that "most people move out at the end of the month not the beginning." Not sure how when basically every lease starts on the first of a month.Would not recommend going here. Prices in general are extremely high and the staff was unwilling to work with me. Owner will NOT give you prorated rent for the month that you move out."
