About the Business

Kenmore United Methodist Church

Welcome to Kenmore United Methodist Church, a warm and caring faith community located at 32 Landers Road, Buffalo, New York. As a place of worship, we gather to honor God and share the love of Jesus Christ through friendship and service to our neighbors both locally and globally. Proudly affiliated with the Reconciling Ministries Network, we welcome and care for ALL individuals, embracing people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

Kenmore UMC stands as a LIGHTHOUSE church, offering a safe and nurturing home for those seeking refuge amidst disaffiliations. If you are considering a new place of worship or relocating to our area, we invite you to be our guest and experience the love and justice of Jesus through our community.

Join us for our Annual Fall Women’s Retreat at Chautauqua Institute from October 11-13, a time to explore resilience, hope, and joy through the Psalms. Don't miss our SPARK Worship, held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, and our vibrant Sunday School Programs starting in September.

Our Food Pantry serves the Village of Kenmore and Town of Tonawanda, open Mondays and Thursdays. We also offer an Alzheimers/Dementia Caregivers Respite Program and a supportive Grief Support Group for those who have lost loved ones.

Stay connected with our community through events like the successful 1st Annual Neighborhood Block Party and our ongoing missions, such as Clara's Closet, which recently raised $2215 to support refugees.

For spiritual growth and fellowship, join The Good Book Club, meeting monthly, and stay updated with our weekly announcements and livestream worship services.

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook for messages of hope and updates from Bishop Burgos-Nunez, and to explore our new Annual Conference/General Conference Page for the latest in the United Methodist Church.

At Kenmore UMC, every person is valued, and we strive to grow through the love and justice of Jesus, serving ALL and caring for our community. We look forward to welcoming you to our faith family.

"If you are trying to find a church home, I would ask you to give us a try. We truly are a warm and welcoming church. We have something for everyone -- childrens Sunday school classes, adult Sunday school, a quilters group, a travel group, coffee time, a food pantry for those in need, a medical device loan closet, community dinners."

"To the congregation, Profound thanks to all for mourning the loss and celebrating the life of my sister, Sally Trumble Ninos. It has been 10 weeks since hundreds of you gathered August 30 to join in the memorial service led so beautifully by Gail Lewis and Don Weaver, with significant assists by a dozen or so others. KUMC was the focal point of Sally's life for 75 years, as it was for our mother, Gerry. The Church, of course, means the thousands of you, who, over the years, sustained and nurtured one another, and gave of your time and resources to reach out to the needs of others. Sally drew strength from working with so many of you to sprinkle love throughout a broad community. And she felt blessed not only by the congregants of KUMC, but also by a continuum of outstanding staff ministry. In emails and phone calls, she bubbled about your diverse accomplishments. She felt so good about being a part of such a caring and loving group. I feel Sally lived a life of consequence, made possible by the kindness and willingness of so many, many others. So thank you, all. And thanks for the nearly 100 cards sent to Peter. He's doing well, by the way (at age 101). It was truly a bittersweet experience to see and all too briefly speak with so many of you at Sally's service. Her love for you and yours for her was abundantly evident. God be with you as you carry on at KUMC. Dan"
