"Very, very poor experience. Unit was infested with rats, with rat dropping everywhere. HORRIBLE manager, Jose need demotion or training, on customer service or road safety. Reservation was cancelled without even letting me know though I was only 40 mins behind, truck missing gas cap and if I didn't point it out that's how they would let me leave the lot, major safety concern, no one walked around the vehicle with me, no instruction on basic operation, where documentation for vehicle was along with the fact that I was informed that if I didn't return the vehicle before the 24 hrs. I am paying for I would be responsible for $250 in charges. I worked and managed rental facilities and vehicle location in the past and based off interaction with manager Jose he is clueless to customer service and safety requirements. Def never using this service again. Enterprise truck rental all the way."

"The unit I was given is horrible. There's a hole in the roof where rain water leaks in, water from the roof drain also gets into my unit because the drain is missing a downspout. Right next to it, there's also the remnant of a hive, and my unit has rodent droppings all over the place. One of my boxes (that I know of) looks like a little animal had gotten into it and started chewing at antique books. So now I have a lot of worthless irreparable, irreplaceable antique books that used to be valuable."

"Don't get me started. There website is a circus. You can't get anyone on the phone locally and why on earth would they BOAST " they were Happy to extend your trucks if they really aren't They gave us such a hard time. Wanted us to bring a 10 ft truck Back to pick up another 10 ft truck. Who has that kind of time while moving and what sense does that even make? The local office in Binghamton is ok but wen I took my truck back in early hours a female employee gave me a very hard time and called her's nan' to try to get me off the property. I'm a girl. I was waiting for them to open and it was cold so I was sitting in the truck THAT I PAID FOR! she was rude and conditioning. Uhall being short on trucks is like the library being short on book. Get a grip on your web site as well U-Haul. For God sakes , people moving don't need your stress or unprofessional attitude. Someone else needs to start a similar business. It's NEEDED. Not done with the snotty employee yet. Corporate is getting an earful. How dare her call some random man to give me a hard time. I felt unsafe."

"After some difficulties on our moving day, we were told it would be over $800 in fees to return the U-Haul to a different location than we had planned. Quick call to corporate and they’re more than happy to change our return location. Returned it to the new location and the fee is only $112 for the extra mileage and for keeping the truck for an extra day than planned. Kinda seems like this location was just trying to milk $800 out of already desperate people. U-Haul Corporate though? 10/10 great customer service."
