"They have been doing a great job over the past ten years or so. One example is their festive light show, which takes place in October. This was such a great use of their grounds and brought in tons of children and adults."
"We had a very pleasant experience not from the zoo animals but from the elaborate display of Chinese lanterns. The various animated and mythical animal lanterns were well placed along the various animal housings and walkways throughout the zoo. We visited on a nice sunny day and there were plenty of great photos opportunities. I am sure there's a whole different experience and photos opportunities when visiting at night when the lanterns are lit. The cost for night time is $20 versus $6 during the day. We hope the proceeds from the lanterns display would subsidize the overall improvement of the park which is in need of upkeep and maintenance."

"We visited on Sunday for my daughter's 5th birthday. We've been here many times before, but it was our first time going thru while the lantern festival was set up. Although it's meant for night viewing, it was still great during the day. All the lantern figures set up were amazing, and the kids loved it. We stopped at the snack bar (the pizza is always to good to pass up) and spent more time than usual wandering through checking everything out. I definitely plan on going back at night to see everything lit up!"
