Originally serving as a welcoming station for train passengers traveling between Buffalo and New York from 1881 to 1959, the Vestal Museum stands as a testament to the rich heritage of the region. Having survived relocation once, it is poised to embark on another journey to its new home on the Rail Trail.
In addition to its historical significance, the museum shares its space with the Happy Squirrel Bakery and Museum offices housed in the Coal House. This structure, which played a crucial role in weighing coal on trucks from 1908 until 2002, has also experienced relocation and will soon join the Vestal Museum on the Rail Trail.
