"Not that this is news to anyone but they never have enough registers open and customer service always has a long, slow moving line. The prices have been consistently going up so now they aren't much less than you'd pay at any other grocery store (great value heavy cream jumped 13% overnight for instance.) The Great Value brand items used to actually be quite a bit less than their name brand counterparts but that's no longer the case for more and more items lately. The Equate brand is still a great deal though, for things like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and cold/flu meds."

"Walmart of Vestal is poorly managed. They are constantly out of products such as, but not limited to orange juice, cat litter, Super Tech motor oil, and cereal. It has been this way for a long time, since before the pandemic, and after. The prices are mostly better than other stores. However I find that there are better deals to be had at competitors stores via on sale items. Also the produce section is usually wiped out and not all that fresh."

"Clean as usual even after the holidays, and staff wasn't too over bearing, unlike other stores. Sad , when honorable hardworking people are sometimes being stalked from employees as if you are there to shop lift? Maybe hire undercover shoppers that don't stand out and make customers feel badly? "It's been said that if it exists, it's found in New York City. False. There is no Wal-Mart. Sure, purchase online; but better off first-hand sizing-up what's available. The employees here are very amenable. For instance, a seasoned cashier even logged out to show me where an item was. The shoppers, the selection are conclusively better than the Johnson City location. Worth the ride on the #57, and for the majority who drive, there are crews working on the parking lot along the mall."

"This location has a lot more items in stock than the smaller Walmart in Johnson City. So things are cheaper than the other location as well. The store was pretty clean. It does get busy on the weekends, especially when the college kids are here."
