""The only thing that you absolutely have to know is the location of the library." - Albert Einstein Indeed. This is a local gem and a staple of our community. There are programs for kids and adults. A place to access the digital world and internet if you don't have access otherwise. One of the places where you can truly say: "taxpayer money well spent". In the end, it truly is when we speak about education and intellectual nourishment of our children, after all, they ARE our future, and investing in the future is highly advisable. Reading programs for kids, access to a digital library, and help where to access information and fact verification. Interlibrary loans from all over the north country. Tool library. I can't even begin telling you what a lifesaver it was when I needed to make costumes for our kids and didn't own a sewing machine. Yes, you can borrow tools from our library. There is so much to list. This library's engagement with children and the community is paramount to early reading and literacy in children and in the access to knowledge and information for everyone. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for their work and for their programs. By the time our kids turned 5 they had already read thousands of books and explored various interests from our solar system and universe to history and geography and everything in between, the amount of books we could not otherwise afford to purchase."

"Cute little library with good hours! The librarian acted like I was wasting her time, but the selection of books - especially newer ones is way better that Ogdensburg’s."

"My belief is that if this Library is supported with school taxes they should be open and available to the students of that school. Being open until 8 pm every week night might better benefit the kids, especially those who don’t have home computers and might like to take advantage of the library’s. Otherwise why are we having to pay for this with our tax dollars."

"I am so happy that the staff and management for the library are so friendly and helpful. They really are kind. I can't believe there's still good people out there willing to help any one. They offer computer use to those who need to use the internet even if it's for games. They actually have a smart TV in the building along with their own PlayStation 3 system that they allow the teens to play. I love the Canton library and I recommend it for anyone in need"
