"My experience with the salon was terrible. My hair started falling out and at first I thought it was a medical condition, so after seeing doctor upon doctor and other stylist it was pointed out to me that the hair in the back of my head was very damaged and breaking off. I brought this to Jessica's attention. She denied that this could be because of her work and she suggested getting extensions. However the extensions that she had "bought brand new" for me looked very used. I contacted the company and and sent them pictures. They said this is not how brand new hair looked. They also said because Jessica had put them in my hair that they weren't able to do very much unless I took them out and sent them to them and even then they weren't able to give a full refund since they were used. So I was pretty much stuck with the extensions. Something a client wouldn't really know but a stylist who was trying to pawn off used hair as new would..... The more I went to the salon the more unprofessional it got. Everyday they would complain about other clients after they left. They would talk badly about them and their hair and their family situations. I expressed all of my concerns about this and my own hair to Jessica in a very gentle manner. All was quiet until they called me a few days before my next appointment and explained that Jessica was no longer able to see me anymore as a client. The owner, Moe explain that she was able to see me going forward (our schedules didn't align hence the reason why we were going to Jessica in the first place) or I could go to a place in the Hamptons to get extensions. In that same moment, she aggressively also mentioned that a friend of mine, who she affectionately referred to as my "Boyfriend or whatever he is" had been coming to her originally as a client of hers for years - way before I "started taking him to Jess". She seemed very angry when talking about him and their relationship. I explained to her that I had no control over how his schedule had changed and that we come together because we pretty much did everything together. I also explained to her that the Hamptons were way too far away for me to commit to in order to get my hair done on a regular basis. I explained this to my best friend who was originally a long-term client of Moe's and we made the joint conclusion that severing our ties with JMJ was the best thing to do. Since then we have found a place that treats us with dignity and respect. Not to mention the work is 20 times superior."

"I moved to the area in 2017 and needed a good salon close to home. In my welcome to the neighborhood package from the post office was a flyer for this studio, JMJ. I got an appt with Stevie who cut and styled my hair. The blow out was great and she was so sweet. It was like talking to an old friend. Well I returned and have since colored my hair different shades at different times of course, balayage, highlights, Brazilian Blowout and of course cuts. She’s great on recommendations and what would potentially work for me. I adore Stevie. She’s wonderful in what she does. The staff in general are all dolls. They just put you in a happy mood. Everyone seems pleased when they leave on their final look. Great salon, highly recommend!"
