"I had a terrible experience with Dr. Alan Katz’s dental office. During a routine cleaning, I was told I had a cavity and was scheduled for a filling two months later without a temporary filling, leaving me in major discomfort. I asked to be seen sooner but was not accommodated (until I begged for a few days). At the filling appointment, the dentist accidentally spilled half the syringe of Novocain in my mouth before injecting it. I wasn’t fully numb when they started drilling, causing significant pain. When I mentioned something felt off with the filling, the dentist initially dismissed me, acting as if I was challenging his work. He eventually admitted there was excess resin composite around the tooth, which he then scraped off. The worst part was the unexpected $50 charge for a white filling, claiming my insurance didn’t cover it—something I later found out was false. It felt like they were just trying to make extra money. Overall, my experience was very poor, and I do not recommend this dentist."
