"All staff at the Sheridan Rd, Amherst location were polite & helpful - even when it was very busy at pick up. Great experience with them. The car, however, was not a good experience. The vehicle was covered in (small) scratches, no front hubcaps, no carpet in the hatchback (just a piece of cardboard over the frame). One of the keys was bent (still worked, tho) and the dashboard was apparently washed with a dirty rag. The worst part was that the car smelled like WEED! Bad enough that it gave my passenger a headache by the end of our drive. We were headed to a professional conference and felt like we had to use body spray before meeting up with colleagues. Coming back to the car after it sat in the hot sun for the day, we were met with the horrible, overwhelming smell again. I had always thought about renting a car as a 'treat' for a vacation weekend. But, this was certainly no treat! 7/9/2024 Updated to add: I responded (as requested) to Enterprise. To date - I have had no further communication from them. There has been no more contact or questions or follow up."
