Dave's Hot Chicken

"Fantastic Experience at Dave's Hot Chicken! I visited Dave's Hot Chicken during their grand opening week, and despite the wait, it was totally worth it! The staff, despite being busy, were incredibly friendly and professional, answering all my questions patiently. I tried the number three extra hot with some milkshakes, and wow, the flavors were unbelievable! The chicken sliders were crispy and bursting with flavor, and the fries were simply delicious. Plus, discovering that their chicken is halal was a huge bonus for me. The loyalty points through their app are a great perk too. As if that wasn't enough, they even gave my son a duck toy! Dave's Hot Chicken has quickly become my new favorite fast-food chain, and I'll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend!"

"Great chicken, your choice of heat on your chicken sliders. I chose medium but going for the hot the next trip. Clean establishment and friendly staff. Their side sauces are bomb. Their fries remained crispy even cold. Highly recommend Dave's Chicken"

"I been waiting to try this spot since it opened but had to wait because I was fasting. I’m so happy I finally got to try it. I first went last Saturday the line was super long I waited about 20 minutes. I left I’m not really a line person I hate to wait lol. I see people complaining about the wait time after placing order. I don’t mind that because it means your food will be hot and fresh! I decided to try them on a day where it’s not busy early afternoon weekday for anyone like me. The chicken was delicious, nice and juicy. I got the mild seem like I need to get light mild next time because that had me sweating lol. The fries were okay nothing fancy. I also got the Oreo shake perfect since my food was spicy to me. I didn’t like the straws with the shake you need a bigger straw for shakes. This place is kind of pricey for only having chicken but it’s worth a splurge every once in a while."

"This is definitely a mixed review. I’ll start with the positives: 1) The staff were super friendly and resilient! We went at 10:20pm; the place closes at 11pm. The place was still very busy. There were three employees in the kitchen and one at the counter. For being so late with a mountain of customers, you would think they would be grumpy, but no! They were pleasant with everyone and did their job well. 2) the chicken was very juicy and the slaw salad on the sandwich tasted good and was not overdressed. 3) the Mac and cheese was creamy. some negatives: 1) Because the place was so busy late at night and all the staff was busy in the front, no one was doing upkeep in the dining area. The garbages were beyond full, the tables, floors, and bathrooms were dirty. 2) we ordered at 10:20pm and did not get our food until 11:07pm 3) the spice level is lower than expected. The heat is not instant; it builds in your mouth the more you eat. However, I’m not a big fan of spicy food, and I thought my “medium” was more like a “mild”. My husband likes spice and ordered a “hot” and “extra-hot”. he said he would have been disappointed if he had only gotten the hot as the extra hot was more what he was expecting. 3). The Mac and cheese was creamy, but it coated my tongue like it was made with velveeta. 4) the fires are just frozen bag crinkled cut with a seasoning that did not add any flavor 5) the milkshake could not be drunk with the very narrow straw they provided."

"Update: 3/21/2024 I stopped in one week after my last visit to see the differences. There was one party in line ahead of me but they were just finishing up their order. I was able to walk right up and place my order at 10:18pm: Dave's #1, side of mac n cheese, and a regular drink - $21.68 As I walked off to get my drink I noticed a patron sitting down with an order number 11 spots ahead of me on their receipt. The soda station was dirty and the floors were begging to be swept (see pictures). I waited 20 minutes for my food. Do not expect quick service at this establishment. Thankfully there's a decent amount of seating for you as you'll need to settle in while you wait. Thankfully the food is good and you get a decent amount for your money. 3/14/2024: As we stood in line for 2+ hrs we watched as they handed orders out that were incomplete. Two customers ahead of us had to come back in and ask about the missing Mac n Cheese. The response was they were out; okay why serve an incomplete order without letting the customer know? Then, out of the blue, Mac n Cheese appeared. When they called my number, I asked if they had MY Mac n cheese, to which the person replied "I can't check I don't have gloves on" and she walked away. The expediter turned around and put a container in my bag. I get they were busy, but why are you serving incomplete orders? This is poor customer service. The food was decent. The fries were delicious but the star of the show, the chicken, was nothing special. The strips are rather large so you get value for your money. The two slices of un-toasted, un-buttered, sandwich bread is an odd addition. The Mac n cheese was good. The slider comes dressed with their kale slaw and pickles (which I don't eat so I can't give a fair review of them). The inside of the restaurant doesn't seem have a central theme. Wild colors and patterns along with red chairs, white tables, and a steel and red wall and a mix of music ranging from Buddy Holly to Cage the Elephant...it's a bit of an overload on the senses."
