About Perspectives Academy:

Perspectives Academy offers a unique alternative education setting designed to support students who face challenges in traditional school environments. Located in Beachwood, Ohio, our academy provides a structured and nurturing atmosphere for students in grades 3 through 12. Our program is particularly beneficial for those needing assistance with home instruction, help with electronic school programs, or a temporary educational placement due to non-violent suspensions or adjustment issues.

Program Features:

- Grades 3-12: We cater to a wide range of students, offering tailored support to meet individual needs.

- Ohio Licensed Teachers/Intervention Specialists: Our classrooms are supervised by qualified educators who guide students through their academic work.

- Flexible Duration: Students can enroll for as short as one day or as long as necessary, whether it’s a week, a month, or beyond.

- Credit for Academic Work: Our goal is to help students complete their own schoolwork to receive credit and return to their original schools on academic par.

- Electronic Curriculum and Direct Instruction: Students can work on their district’s curriculum or our electronic curriculum, supplemented by direct instruction from our teachers.

Additional Support Services:

- Counseling and Therapy: Students have access to licensed therapists for traditional or intensive counseling. Psychological assessments and intervention suggestions are available as needed.

- Flexible Therapist Options: Students can see therapists at our practice or continue with their outside therapists.

- Mental Health Support: In partnership with Jay Berk Ph.D, and Associates, we offer specialized therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, and stress management.

School District and Parent Friendly:

- Collaboration: We work closely with multiple school districts and home school students to ensure a seamless educational experience.

- Scholarships and Payment Options: We accept district placements, the Autism Scholarship, the Jon Peterson Scholarship, and self-pay options.

Limited Spaces for 2023-2024:

Our alternative education program has limited openings for the upcoming school year. We also have a new program available for students in grade 12 and beyond.
