"Went as a kid trying to figure adulting out. Ive had 2 cleanings done and those were fine.to top it off however ive nearly 6-7 appointments for 3 fillings and 2 root canals. Fillings done at once. Fine. the first root canal took 3 appointments and 2nd took 2. All totaling well over 2 grand. With insurance. I'm not a stickler but as a lone kid I feel taken fully advantage of because I had my parents helping pay. My father goes to an oral surgeon in big city pgh and said his 3 root canals didn't nearly total what mine did. On top. My one root canal since it was done has had a weird pain with super cold things...which was why we did the root canal in the first place..."

"I had 3 tooth fillings and one tooth cleaning appointment in this clinic. The staff is very nice and accommodating. My teeth have been cleaned many times in different states but Debbie “one of the dental assistants there” did the best cleaning ever for my teeth and made my smile look different! I paid out-of-pocket and Dr. Rajiv gave me a 20% discount each time, explained the fillin process to me, and did a wonderful job was sure to answer any questions that I have even for my family. Absolutely! Hands-down, best, dentist and team in the Youngstown area! I have never been disappointed!"

"Took over a year to get dentures and a partial and over 20 appts. 6 appts just for an Impression. Just wants to keep scheduling and taking money. Wont give bill or how much I owe. He will also charge more than what he bills the insurance company for. Wants to sign you up for a payment plan but never once tell you how much you owe. Just wants a blank check to keep charging your card when he feels. His billing practices seem very shady. I get a bad vibe and don’t trust him. Will be going else where."

"He is money hungry, his best interest is in how much money he can make from you. He has no bedside manner with his patients, he told me my 5 year old son would need his front tooth pulled and a root canal because he hit his mouth. 3 years later and he is perfectly fine, he ripped me off and I refuse to pay him."

"I began seeing Dr. Taneja in December 2015 when I was new to the area. I first visited his office to have a chip in my front tooth bonded. During the first visit, he explained to me that I had a cavity that would need to be filled as well because depending on how long we waited, it could require a root canal. I had seen 3 different dentistry professionals in the past year, and no one had said anything like that to me, so I took his words with a grain of salt and told him I'd like to focus on having my chipped tooth fixed before anything else. When I came back to his office about a week later- for what I thought was to have my chipped tooth fixed- Dr. Taneja told me he'd like to begin with my cavity. I knew it needed to be filled, so I said that would be fine, thinking that just having that and my chipped tooth fixed all in one visit would be convenient. About 30 minutes later and what can only be described as the longest cavity filling I've ever had, he sat me up in the chair and began explaining what steps I would need to take next in order to complete my root canal. I was completely in shock! I had not agreed to a root canal in any way. And what was worse, my dental insurance didn't cover this type of procedure, so when I approached the front desk to pay for the visit, the receptionist told me I would owe about $700 just for this day. Meanwhile, I still had a chip in my front tooth- the very reason I visited him in the first place- which had he fixed would have cost me less than $100, not nearly $1000!! On top of the day's $700 fee, the receptionist informed me that root canals are typically two or three step processes and I would need to come back twice more to finish the procedure...and pay more money. I have never felt so violated and deceived. When I told these things to Dr. Taneja, he showed no sympathy or remorse for his actions or the way I felt, saying that when I "agreed to be a patient at his practice," I gave him "consent to perform any procedure he saw fit." He is rude and inconsiderate, and I highly recommend anyone considering dental care to steer far away from this predator."
