"Ordered a socket fan online. Was delivered a gallon bottle of fabric softner. Returned the softner to the store and was told I could only get a store credit. That can not be used for online purchases. And the fan I want is only available online. So not only did I not get what I ordered, I can't even reorder it"

"I am telling as many people as possible NOT TO SUPPORT HOME DEPOT. THEIR SERVICE, INSTALLATION, IS THE FARTHEST THING AWAY FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT COULD POSSIBLY EXIST. First of all, please BEWARE. Installation does not mean installation. Upon delivery, the first one, they walk in and say "we got a problem". "You gotta get all these old appliances out. Did you pay us to move and haul them away?" " We don't touch em". I read all of the prep tips. No where does it say, spaces must be empty. Only, appliances should be unplugged and emptied. In addition, they told me I had to get a plumber because they don't connect water lines with shut offs below the floor. Oh and yes, I needed to hire an electrician because the old dishwasher was hard wired. So, I removed the frig, dishwasher and microwave with some help. They asked if they could leave the appliances in my garage. I said yes but wanted to look at them first because of their strick return policy. They turned the items, we checked for dents, etc. They left all three boxed or wrapped in original packaging. 6 days later, they came back to install. Guess what. Nothing got installed because the cupboard needed shaved 1/2 inch and the microwave tile wall had to be cut 1/2 inch. They did manage to remove the microwave and refrig from their packaging and bring both in to check measurements. That's when the shaving and cutting came in. $60 later, to rent a cut saw and sander. My friend and I ended up hooking up the frig and my electrician hardwired the new one in. WOW, how easy was that. So, the frig is in place. I start to remove the sticky plastic and discover that when they cut the wrapping plastic off, they also cut and dented the front door of my fridge. Let the fun begin. I read the details and call the indicated number. I repeat my story and they tell me they have to abide by their policy and there's nothing they could do because 48 hours since delivery had passed. Now these appliances sat in my garage, in their original packaging until they brought them in today. They caused the damaged. I have pictures. So far, can't return, no refund, can't replace only the door. Home Depot should describe their install as set in place and plug in only. As of now, I've been on and off hold for 55 minutes. Good thing I didn't have anything else to do today. So my "so called" Appliance Sale Items with installation cost me $900 over invoice. WHAT A BARGAIN. I will never shop, recommend or anything else ever again."

"The item i wanted wasnt on the shelf. It was on a skid up high. The staff were quick and nice about getting it down for me. The quantities were correct on the items i was after. What more do you really need? Freindly staff, in stock, and correct quantities."

"We love Home Depot in Ashland! Recently everyone in my house was sick. Our sink started leaking. Just everything that could go wrong was going wrong. I took my new born with me to go get parts... guess who left all the parts in the cart then got home to realize it. Someone stole my purchase. I was devastated. The manager confirming and knowing we were JUST there replaced the parts for free. It was the ultimate kindness. I swear the people are what make it great. Forever grateful for kindness coming from someone stealing of paid for things."

"I purchased a five shelf rack for my garage. As I was near finishing the assembly I noticed one of the brackets was not finished and would not attach to the unit. It took 55 minutes to assemble the unit. I didn’t want to disassemble it. I thought the best solution would be for Home Depot to remove the bracket I need from one of their boxes, send that box back to their supplier. That’s not what they wanted me to do. They said I have to disassemble my unit and return it. Now I have a shelving unit that I can only safely use three of the shelves. Needless to say I will never do business with them again."
