"Dr. Shapiro has been seeing my medically complex child since he left the NICU and, after nearly 5 years, I remain as impressed by her as I was at our first visit. She assesses my son as a child first and does not dismiss my concerns as being related to his primary diagnosis without a full investigation. She consults with specialists as needed and has gone above and beyond for him on multiple occasions. She is also intuitive about my needs and advocates for me with a supportive attitude. Choosing a pediatrician as a first time parent and for a medical miracle baby was very taunting but I have no regrets with my choice."

"If I could Give her a zero I would. As a fellow healthcare worker she made fun of my daughters nose ring, her cell phone and checked her without a mask down her throat after discovering a low grade fever. My daughter is vaccinated but had been directly exposed to Covid . I tested her directly after the appointment and my daughter is Covid positive and called to tell them and ask why they would make fun of a teenager with a piercing . They did not care and she contributed to see patients through the day and never returned my call . I would never take my child to her again and I am a big fan of the U healthcare in general but she is irresponsible with Covid precautions and w reckless with mental health with our youth ."

"Dr. Shapiro has been an amazing family physician for my two children. She goes above and beyond to try to help and understand their issues, and find resolution. She takes the time to really understand what is going on and never rushes or minimizes their complaints. I am always impressed with her level of concern and care for my kids!"

"Dr. Shapiro needs to go! Inhave never felt so belittled in my life. We brought in my 15 year old do deal with severe anxiety from autisim and the very first thing she said was. 'Well she doesnt have autism!' My daughter has an official diagnosis of aspergers from a specialist. She then went on to tell my daughter that her anxiety and depression werent real and that she was just doing it for attention. She then proceeded to tell me to put my child in a modified highschool for problem children because she was 'a problem' when i told her that normal school wasnt an option because of her anxiety she told me 'youre the adult just make her go' This woman nearly drove my child to suicide because of her cruel words. Ontop of this she assumed so many things about my parenting and was very rude about it. I cant even fit the mistreatment that we suffered in this review I loved the rest of the staff there they were so kind but word of advice: if you get put under dr. Shapiro, go somewhere else. She is not fit to be a doctor, she ignores her paitents feelings and is very very rude. You might as well be talking to a judgmental rock."
