"After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on cancer treatments you would think that you would be treated better. I was just treated like absolute garbage from the staff here"

"I have never experienced so much rudeness during a doctor's office visit! If you're someone whose willing to do whatever you're told you won't have a problem with him, but if you want some say in what happens to your body, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere! I had recently had a mastectomy of my right breast with lymph node removal with a surgeon in American Fork who is so kind and skilled! She was aware that my cancer was estrogen driven and recommended I make an appointment with an oncologist to prescribe some Arimidex (an estrogen blocker) and I agreed. I had previously (prior to my surgery) scheduled an appointment with Dr. Ormsby and decided to keep this appointment thinking that I could ask him if he could assist me with this request. I first met with his assistant and explained that I wanted to try and heal my body naturally by completely changing my diet (since some of this effort in the past seemed to help, in fact my aggressive, fast moving cancer although it grew some, did not spread to other parts of my body in 21 months because I had changed my diet); however, I felt that I needed to make more healthy changes to have better results, and, my only reason for a visit with Dr. Ormsby was that I required a prescription of an estrogen blocker. This was relayed to Dr. Ormsby (via his assistant) and I was soon to realize that he vehemently opposed anything natural. The moment Dr. Ormsby entered the room, I felt tension. It didn't take long before he was "reading me the riot act". I explained that everyone I knew that had taken chemotherapy had died and that I wanted to try and get my body healthy. His voice became louder as I tried to explain that I was not interested in chemotherapy to the point where he was yelling! I told him I didn't want to argue, but he wasn't having any of it. Then he yelled that if I wanted him to treat me that I would have to do certain things and I asked him what that might be and in the commanding voice he was using during the entire conversation emphatically stated that I would have to make regular visits with him to which I responded that I did not have a problem with regular appointments. He then demanded that I if he's going to treat me that I have a scan for osteoporosis! At this point I just wanted to leave and told him I thought he was rude and that I did not want to do any treatment with him. As I started to leave, he became enraged and yelled out something like "IF YOU'RE DEAD IN TWO YEARS DON'T BLAME ME"!!! He then continued to follow me out the door calling out in a commanding voice sarcastically twice "GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! As I exited the front office I heard him telling someone at the front desk that I was not interested in further treatment."

"Dr. Samuelson hematology oncology is who I visited for my Clotting disorder. I would not recommend him because he had contradicted every doctor I have seen that are hematology specialists. From Mayo Clinic in az, to drs in Florida, Scripps Medical Center in California university of Utah. I have moved quite a bit why I have seen so many drs. He also said people with my illness don't have extreme fatigue and Rheumatologic symptoms. On the APS website it talks about Rheumatologic symptoms. Then extreme fatigue I asked all my APS friends/ Group on Facebook that are all diagnosed With APS if they have fatigue or extreme fatigue. I got 150 responses all saying they do have fatigue. I feel that dr Samuelson is knowledgeable with oncology but not so much on hematology and clotting disorders. He told me that his other patients with my disease that they don't have it as bad as I do. So I need to get over it and feel better. BTW you should NEVER compare your patients because every situation is different every cancer is different. Coming from my own dad who is a dr. So I hope dr Samuelson will see this because I feel if your patients say they have fatigue they're not making it up. Or other symptoms why would I lie when I have told all the other drs before you the same exact story. Please have more empathy for your patients because they feel sick everyday and we need reassurance from our Dr's."
