"I needed to replace a couple pipes on my mom’s bathroom sink. I have never done any plumbing repairs so she suggested I come here so I could talk to “professionals.” When I asked for help, the young kid, who seemed very uninterested in helping me, walked quickly ahead to show me the area I should go to. He lost me so I had to go looking for him. When I found him, he told me if I couldn’t find what I needed in that section, they didn’t have it. I asked him to please help me as I didn’t even know what exactly I was looking for. He threw a couple parts at me and said they should work. Needless to say, the “professionals” were not helpful. I couldn’t figure out how to make the parts fit! So I ran to Sunroc. After spending a lot of time going through everything I thought might work, I got the parts I needed. Finally, I got it all put back together nicely, even as a novice. So I brought the parts back to get a refund and explained that they were open because their employee wasn’t very helpful. The guy was friendly so I figured they probably weren’t that bad and I could give them another chance next time. But guess what? Store policy is to not give ANY cash refunds so as to not empty their till for the day. It was $20! Now I have to wait 5-7 days for a check! Wow! PS After looking over reviews, I see that they like to respond and say, “Oh, we’ll do better next time!” But the list of poor customer service go on and on…"

"Wish I could give 0 stars. My husband helps fix sprinklers as a side gig and is a frequent buyer. He made a purchase today but the repair got canceled, so he decided to take the items back to the store to return. As he was backing his truck in, an employee came out yelling and screaming at him that he was stealing. My husband tried to explain what he was doing, but the employee called him a thief and yelled at him to never return to that store again. He has his receipt/statement from the purchase he made to prove he wasn’t taking anything. I’ve attempted multiple times to call and speak with someone and no one answers their phones."

"Unhelpful, apathetic staff. They seemed wholly an interested in helping me. I went in to try to get a better person to person experience and I would a big-box store but no one there seems to care and install things on my own. When I finally did find what I needed, on my own, they seemed basically unable to check me out without me going and getting a photo of UPC codes and taking it back to them at the register. The whole point of these small stores is that they're supposed to compete on service but this is way far away worse service and I've ever had at a Home Depot or Lowes."

"I called to find out if they carried a specific MOEN tool I needed to change out my Kitchen Faucet. I asked the gentleman on the phone if they had the tool, he indicated he wasn't sure, and that everyone else was to busy to help me. I said, "just to be clear, what your telling me is that you're to busy to assist me?". He said yes. He didn't offer to put me on hold or asked me to wait, just told me they were to busy. So I hung up and called Southwest Plumbing Supply and was told they would leave one at the front counter for me to borrow and come grab it any time. Didn't even have to buy it. Now that I know Standard is to busy, I will go to Southwest Plumbing from now on...sorry Standard, you lost a customer and need to maybe train some of the people who answer the phone."
