"If you read any review, read this one: I started with UBS early 2021 because my previous therapist retired. I have bipolar disorder, and it's very challenging to find health care providers that specialize in mood disorders that have availability. I found UBS through my insurance website, and they listed Bipolar as one of the things they had experience in. When I started with my counselor, it was clear that she had absolutely no experience with mood disorders. I wanted tools to improve my coping with the disorder itself, but I am actually a very conscious, self aware person. Because of this, I seem like I'm fine in all the general ways. At one point my counselor even said "it doesn't seem like you need therapy. You're so self aware". Self awareness has nothing to do with it lol. I stopped going after a couple months of weekly, virtual therapy, and ended up losing my job due to a depressive episode. During this time I had no income, and resigned to pay my outstanding bill when I got money. Medical debt doesn't remain on your credit report once paid, so this was not my first priority. After a few months, UBS sold my debt, and the buyer of the debt, Olson Shaner, sued me for quite literally, 5 times the original bill. You can imagine being unemployed makes it difficult to obtain a lawyer. I had to settle for a public defender that got them to settle out of court. I ended up paying everything, minus court fees. That was still 4 times the original amount. I take responsibility for not paying my bill within a timely manner, but the company misrepresents themselves, and then knowingly offsets debt of mentally ill people to one of the most aggressive law firms in the region. My public defender said that Olson Shaner is one of the least ethical companies they've ever dealt with, and every other attorney they know absolutely despises them. Worth taking note of."

"We reached out to Utah behavior services about our 4 year old son who we adopted through foster care. He’s been diagnosed with FASD, ODD, ADHD, SPD and the list goes on. It took months to get a call back. We wanted to see if they could set us up with an in home behavioralist. I spent over an hour with the therapist discussing options. She looked and acted as if she was in high school. Our case is complex and every therapist we’ve ever seen has dropped us or brushed us off to someone else. Finding help is ridiculously hard. This therapist needed to meet with her higher up first to discuss what would be the best option as she had no idea what to do with us. She never met our son. Not even once. A week later she told us we could do parent/child therapy or just parent therapy, which was exactly what I didn’t want. It was so upsetting. There’s no way anything would come out of being in a tiny room with our son. He’d just try to escape or act out if the therapist is taking to us and not him. We had an appointment set up 2 weeks later but I said I wanted to think about what I wanted to do. She never did check in with us while I was debating on what I wanted to do. Life is crazy with working and raising three difficult children. The day before therapy, I checked in with her to confirm the appointment and let her know that we’d try it out. I was informed that she filled our spot with someone else, even though I never canceled. She told us we’d have to get on a waitlist again if we still wanted therapy. What a joke. It’s no wonder they have so many 1 star reviews."

"I have enjoyed working at UTBS for 10 years. I am so grateful to work at a place that is vested in their employees. I am also very grateful to work at a place that your dedication, hard work and work ethics are valued and not discriminated against for any reason. This includes but not limited to sexual preference, and whether or not you are related to someone. Somehow the world will try to shame you for having family. UTBS loves their family and your family and this REALLY is a good thing. Strengthening families is a key value at UTBS. I have found that for those that are wanting to work hard and are committed to UTBS are rewarded with opportunities to advance in the company. This means putting in years not months learning and growing as a team member. If you like a good challenge and the opportunity to work with some of the most genuine straight forward people around, then UTBS would be a great fit for you."

"Working at UTBS has been such an amazing experience. I get the pleasure to witness, at each center throughout the state, the passion, tenacity, excellence, team work and resilience each team member dedicates every minute of their day to strengthening families and it's truly incredible. Our teams are a good time to be around. We work hard to encourage and support one another. We celebrate our wins and help each other get the wins they're wanting. Its cool to be in an environment everyone is excited and cheering for you to hit the goals you've set for yourself."

"UTBS is an amazing company to work for! I have had so much opportunity to grow and be challenged in my role. The amazing culture of the company comes from the top and trickles down - our executive and leadership teams really believe in the company values and strive to help families, not just of the clients we serve, but also employees and their families. The staff and clinicians are SO dedicated to the families they serve, too. I've really found a second family here at UTBS, not just a job or even a career, and I love it!"
