"It is too bad that I can't give them 0 star The worst experience I had with an insurance company. Very dishonest. You can’t even get a word in with their phone person as they talk over you. They are there to fight you not to help you. It has been 3 months, where is the refund check for cancelling my policy?"

"The only reason I have given this company a 1 star is because I can't press post without pressing a star!! They should have 0 Stars!!! This is a horrible company. I have had a policy out since 1992 and just want a copy of my policy. They will not transfer calls, help me, let me speak with managers or return calls. I have reported them to the BBB and they will not respond to them or to me!! I have written the so called president and have yet to receive a response. They need to be reported to the Utah Insurance Commission!! They continually lie every time you call them when asked a simple question!! I am at my ropes end! I would tell all my friends to steer clear of this company!! They have been taking my money for 26 years and will do nothing to help me!!"

"Standard Life and casualty Insurance is a BAD, BAD & dishonest company to do business with. I purchased 2 policies from them on Nov. 20, 2017. Immediately cancelled it within 2 hours after receiving an email from my agent that it did not qualify under the Obamacare and I would be subject to penalties. They with drew 45.78 & 31.50 from my account even though I called to cancel. The person on the phone told me no problem that he was making notes for the cancellation as it had not posted yet. I called again for refund in Dec. after not receiving my refund and I was told on Dec. 20th I would need to fax a cancellation letter which I did that same day. Now it's Jan and they refunded me 24.08 instead of 45.78 & 17.90 instead of 31.50. I call them today 1/8/18 and the girl on the phone said sorry that they had prorated the policy and they had NO NOTES of me talking to anyone prior to my fax on Dec. 20.and it's their policy that I have to cancel with letter/fax within 21 days of purchase and since I didn't fax them till Dec.20 and that's why they didn't refund me in full. plus I failed to provide her with the person's name I had talked to and they had not notes of it. This company is very dishonest because as many times as I called to make sure policies were cancelled no one EVER told me they needed a letter first. So BEWARE IF you are thinking on buying their insurance and know what their policies are to avoid a rip off like it happened to me. So sad that they would stoop this low and not train their employees correctly on telling the customer their requirements before any cancellations for refunds and on top of that no conversation between me and them was ever recorded or any notes made which I find it Extremely hard to believe that story. And on top of all this I asked for the President's name or VP's Name and the girl couldn't give me a name, she said I don't know who would take care of it and said just fax a complain letter to the Attn. of a Mgr. but also reminded me that since it was company policy of the letter/or fax that there was nothing that could be done. As for me I say train your employees to be honest or FIRE Them!"
