"3rd store I went to that was actually helpful. I am a super novice and needed some help finishing/backing my project. Not only were they helpful, they made me feel good about my project(it's my first ever). Anyway, I went in with my toddler and the ladies were so sweet with her. The store has a "play area" with toys that children can play with while parents shop. They were both so incredibly warm and welcoming! I will definitely be going back!!"
"I have been a sewist for 30+ years and have never encountered a more incompetent service department anywhere. I am new to Houston and this store is in the area where I live. Took in a Bernina sewing/embroidery machine for updates and repairs. Not only were the updates not done, but the machine came home with more broken parts than I took it in with. I cannot speak to other brand repair but DO NOT take a Bernina to this technician. No satisfaction received from my request of refund of upfront payment of repairs, from the owner."
"My beloved Bernina sewing machine that I bought new in 1992 and continued to use throughout Fashion Design school and running my own design company for 10 years.... it sparked and smoked and fizzled one day without warning. I wasn't even using it when it happened. what was worse, this was days before halloween and I was still in the midst of my daughter's costume. TRUE HORROR! I brought it in to be fixed with a heavy heart and prayer. They said it might take 3-4 weeks to fix. I fully resigned myself to hand sewing the last details, it would be fine. The DAY AFTER I dropped it off Jake called and said it was fixed. It works like a dream now. I think they did a great job. I like the vibe of all the ladies in the shop too. They all seem to love what they do, and why not? Sewing is fun. And my baby dragon really appreciates that they were able to fix it so fast."
