"Campground is closed, no word when it will ever open either. BEAUTIFUL, peaceful place to visit as a day trip though. I can only imagine what it looked like before the fire. Hiking, ATV, SXS, fishing, small boats are ok, and picnicing! No picnic tables or grills. Bring folding chairs, and pack out what you pack in!"
"PAY FOR CAMPING CLOSED DUE TO 2017 FIRE. See current Satellite view Maps option to confirm. I'm at the free camping at Yankee Meadows Dispersed Camping site down the hill available on a first come first served basis. Two sections open, one section is closed due to the 2017 fire. Note there are no facilities such as electricity, water, or toilets in Dispersed camping. No fires or charcoal grilling as of May 2021. Fire danger at Maximum RED. Propane or white gas stoves okay for cooking. Be sure to stop and read sign board as you come into Yankees Meadow area for maps of camp areas and current fire regulations. Sign will also tell you how to dig a "cathole " outside the camping area for your poop (not kidding) if you're tent camping. Big open fields around for that purpose, bring a camp shovel."

"Amazing Scenery, beautiful reservoir. Overnight camping is CLOSED from May 2018 to September 2018 due to the 2017 Brianhead fires. Miles of burned trees surrounding a beautiful brook and meadow. Great paddleboarding spot."
"I absolutely love Yankee Meadows. We camp there every summer. The restrooms at the campground are clean and don't smell. The camp sites are spread out so your no to close to other campers. It's beautiful. There are free sites as well closer to the lake..but no campfires are allowed. There are also free spots along the little creek. Very Refreshing and beautiful. !"
