About the Business

Pets and People Dog Park

Pets and People Dog Park is a three-acre oasis for you and your furry friend located at 701 Inla Avenue in Yukon, Oklahoma. Conveniently situated just two blocks south of Historic Highway 66 and easily accessible from I-40, our park welcomes visitors from all over the United States and locally from the OKC metro area and Yukon residents. The lush grass and tall shade trees provide the perfect backdrop for a day of fun and adventure with your canine companion. Watch the birds, play in the large dog area or the separate small dog area, and let your pup cool off in the large pond. Water bowls and park benches are available for your convenience, but don't forget to bring a towel!

Our park is fully fenced with 5-foot chain link fencing and features a double-gated entry area for safety. Dogs over 6 months old must be spayed or neutered, and all dogs must be current on vaccinations. Maintaining this "free" park is costly, so donations are gratefully accepted at our shelter. The first dog park in Oklahoma, Pets and People Dog Park offers 3 acres of open grassland and a pond for your four-legged friend to enjoy off-leash. Help us continue to improve and maintain this beloved park by making a donation in memory of a beloved pet or loved one. A memorial plaque will be added to our Pets & People Memorial in the dog park to honor your contribution. Come visit Pets and People Dog Park for a day of fun, exercise, and connection with nature for you and your furry best friend.

"Nice large off leash dog park. There is a pond in the park, so if you don’t want a wet, muddy dog you might stay in the smaller section. Parking if handy"

"Beautiful park. Came on a cooler night so there wasn’t anyone there, initially, which could be expected given the weather. Was playing fetch, with my 33lbs collie when two sweet looking Pitt mixes showed up. The owner seemed to know their limits, so let them play in a separate fenced in area next to us, and they would all chase each other thru the fence, which was a great compromise since they could all get their running in. Guy told me one was unfortunately very prone to attacking smaller dogs, and I thanked him for knowing his dogs limits. He decided to allow one to play chase on my side, when I didn’t realize it, thankfully that dog did great with mine. Then again, without warning unleashed the other more aggressive on our side. It was a scary couple of seconds with now the docile mix taking the other dogs aggressive lead! Thankfully I had my dogs harness on, and was able to grab my dog up in my arms and started to leave, guy tried to blame me for walking alway “Can you stop moving so they won’t chase you!! ” dude didn’t even apologize. After reading other reviews with similar complaints, I sadly doubt we will be returning."

"On a cross-country move, and this was a perfect place to let our GSP out to "stretch" her legs and expend some pent-up energy. Only a few minutes detour from 40, and the pond was an added bonus given the heat. Just wish there was a rinse off section. 10 off 10 recommend."

"Great park, huge grass area for dogs to really stretch their legs. Very clean as well. My dogs loved the pond and were exhausted when we got home! What a great dog park."

"We just found out about this dog park. We have been driving to midwest city to let our big dogs run. So glad to find this park. Our dogs love it here. It's close to home and plenty of room for our pups to run. Our youngest loves the pond. We have been twice in the last 2 days. Day one she bounced around in the pond. Day two, she met another dog that chased a toy into the deep part. She watched a couple times and then stared grabbing the other dogs toy and putting it in the water to watch her swim. After a bit, she got up thr courage to give it a shot. She now loves to swim lol. Really nice place with 4 Acres and a pond for them to play. They have a separate smaller area as well. Definitely a place to wear out your pups. Ours slept the rest of the evening and all night long. Lol"
