Ken Garff Buick GMC of Riverdale

"I recently purchased a 2022 Wrangler 392 from Big Mike at Ken Garff GMC. I was flying up from Texas and he made the transaction smooth and easy. Big Mike originally offered to pick me up from the airport, however the timing didn't work out. He set up the delivery with his backup also named Mike. Mike offered to have Ken Garff reimburse me for the Uber ride since Big Mike was not available. When I arrived the Jeep was parked on the showroom floor just like they said it would be. They also had packed the half doors in the back of the Jeep for me. I spent about 30 minutes looking over the vehicle while they completed the paperwork. The vehicle was just as described and the experience was top notch. During the process Big Mike was very attentive and responded immediately when I had a question. Roughly two weeks after buying the Jeep I reached out to Big Mike to find out the name of the cleaning product they used on the interior. Within minutes he responded with the name of the product. I have since ordered it and have received it from an online vender. I have dealt with dealerships my whole life. I actually worked for a Ford dealership for 8 years and I can say the sales staff and management at Ken Garff GMC are very professional. They are not your stereotypical slick haired sleazy sale person!!"

"I worked with Duston (salesman) and he was helpful. I was happy to find this 2024 GMC Denali Ultimate in stock rather than having to order it. This dealership also helped me with an in and out with my 2022 GMC Denali. Like any dealership right now, there was almost no negotiations on price. GM did offer a $500 military discount. The overall process would be five stars, for a dealership (which we all hate) except that the process should have been much quicker- as always. But I think dealerships get used to intentionally making people wait all day to make them tired and hungry and ready to just make a deal to be done. Our numbers were already set and there was no need for the extended delays. There was one part that wasn’t installed on my vehicle – I had to make an appointment to come back and have it installed (3 hr drive for me). The part was the GMC kicker stereo that goes in the tailgate – approximately one hour job (very simple install). Service was less than accommodating. I was very clear that I could come in any day at any time that they could get the install. Originally they wanted one full day with the vehicle for the one hour install. After several minutes of debate they agreed that if I could have it in by 1:30 PM they could have it back to me by 6 PM that same day. I again asked for an appointment and they stated “I cannot and will not guarantee when your vehicle will go in for service – we can only give you a check in time”. Frankly, after buying $103,500 vehicle, it’s disappointing that Ken Garff “does NOT hear me/you”. In conclusion, sales earned four stars but service is two stars at best. I have the kicker stereo and will either sell it or install it myself."

"Bought my car with Ken Garff Buick GMC in 2019. I bought a used vehicle which I'd imagine was a trade-in. I'd say that I'm largely very satisfied with the purchase to-date. I'm listing the review with 4-stars due to the reliability my particular car has had. It was not a Buick/GMC but I feel they accurately described it's condition. I've removed 1-start because at purchase they included products which I specifically didn't ask for such as a warranty. I had to ask for it to be removed once or twice before walking with the car."

"Mike K made me feel very comfortable as he showed me the Terrain Denali. He was very knowledgeable of the features the vehicle was equipped with. He helped adjust the seats and mirrors and talked about the push and pull switches to change gears and start and stop before we took a test drive. He didn’t make me feel pressured on the decision to buy the vehicle. He showed the vehicle to me on the computer as it was already ordered for your showroom. The car was a beautiful blue the interior in the two tone made it stand out. I never felt rushed as I looked at the vehicle before we sat to make the deal. I would recommend him to anyone as he was so good to work with. Thanks Mike for helping me purchase the best looking car on the lot and for keeping me updated on its assembly and transport. You were great."

"My experience going to Ken Garff was a customer service nightmare. I was rear ended and needed a significant amount of body work on my car. This was the only place that could source the parts so I waited two weeks to bring my car in as they were booked up and I was estimated about a week to complete my service. 1 month was the actual time it took. I was told I would receive regular text updates to the progress of my car. I did not for the first 3 weeks! I called repeatedly asking for a timeline, and was either told by multiple people “I just don’t know”. I was put on hold and forgotten about. I was promised to have a technician call me back and that never happened. Two days before my car was complete I was informed by the insurance company that indeed my car was totaled and wouldn’t need to be fixed after all and I could just receive a pay out and that they thought the dealership told me as they were the ones to do the evaluation/estimate of me car. And now that my car is actually being worked on it is too late. They claim we thought we told you. So turns out I never should have waited six weeks to have my car fixed and I could have just gone out and bought a new car if they would have communicated that information to me. And the cherry on top is a week after I finally picked up my car I received a text saying “you’re car is ready to be picked up” Epic fail."
