"I was told I needed to get my CV axle replaced at a local grease monkey. I called Carpenter auto and Dave was up front about costs. When I took it in to have him look at it, it turned out the boot wasn't having any issues and a repair wasn't needed. He was very honest and accommodating. I was extremely impressed with his professionality and honesty. I was referred here from a friend and will definitely be coming back when I need any other repairs."

"First off I want to say I went to this mechanic because of his rating on Google being so high. Now that that's out of the way I'm gonna describe my experience. At first it was pleasant the owner seemed nice and friendly and I felt like he was honest. I went in because I had a bad ignition coil for valve 3. I replaced all the other ones myself but the 3rd was in a difficult spot to get to without the right equipment. I get back to pick my car up and now there are multiple error codes and my car is running worse than before. When I did my oil change after he did service on my car I noticed my engine block cover was missing exposing all my sensors and there were air hoses unattached. My dad is a mechanic and thankfully fixed everything that was wrong. That was when we found out how poor of a job this man did on my car. He didn't even change the spark plug when he put in the new coil. Left bolts off so my gasket wasn't sealed. Didn't reattach vacuum hoses didn't make sure everything was sealed left my block cover off and all around did a sloppy job. The kicker is the $400+ bill he left me with. It is straight up horrible business. When my dad called him to ask about the poor job he did as a mechanic he only deflected and took no accountability. My father is a 30 year veteran of the US army and served over seas multiple times and to hear that he was disrespectful to my dad pushed me to the point to write this review. In my opinion this is not an honest mechanic and he won't try to make things right by his customers when he clearly wrongs them."
