"I have been playing at Wasatch Hills Tennis Center for a few years and think the staff there does a great job. Tang does a good job reaching out and letting me know about different opportunities to play. I really enjoy the workouts, I love the fast pace and the energy that the coaches provide. It's a really fun way to play tennis, meet new people and exercise. I like all of the coaches and their workouts but especially love it when I get to be on Gavin's court. He always makes the workout really fun and I always learn something new."
"This is a great place to play tennis but my recent experience was pretty painful. On Monday (2/19), 4 of us were playing in Wasatch Hills Tennis Center and next to us, there was a tennis class going on (we had booked the court for 2 hours). The class next to us was full of young kids and there was lot of energy, adrenaline and FANTASTIC coaching & shot making. But the downside was that it was way over noisy (continuous hooting and hollering, that was disturbing us). After the first hour of play, we called upon the coach and said "we understand that you are having a class in your own court and its awesome but could you please help / reduce the hooting & hollering. We are not asking you to stop coaching, stop the energy, just that we are playing here and it is a loud and a bit disrespectful to the next court". The responses from the coach: "1. Are you playing a USTA sanctioned match or league match? Since it is only a friendly match, just go and play." "2. Focus on your match." "3. I am a coach here at this tennis center and I am running the class here." We once again explained to him that we are not asking him to stop coaching, please just reduce the noise level. He walked off saying "I am not saying anything to the kids who are taking the class". My questions are: 1. Are we somehow lesser than the coach, his coaching & the kids who are in that class because we are playing friendly tennis matches. 2. Is the coach alluding that he and hence the tennis center only respects people who play for USTA / sanctioned league matches and the rest will not be respected as individuals / human beings because we are playing friendly and for the love of the game? 3. Additionally, while we have paid for our court time, and have played in this tennis center, many a time, we have not complained against any coaching / coaches ONCE till date (the other sessions have music playing too & we do not mind that 1 bit. There has been loud sessions too.). So, should we NOT speak up if we feel that they are going overboard & disturbing us? 4. From a communication standpoint, we were not acrimonious. So, why were we treated the way we were treated? 5. Are those the right responses by a coach who is training young kids, and mentoring them (not just only at tennis). What kind of message are you sending the kids if you are addressing other individuals like this? We still have no ill-will against the coach but this should be a learned lesson to that particular coach. All of us love this sport and are doing our best to enjoy it in our own way. We will not stop or stand in the way of anyone's enjoyment/love for tennis and wish the same be reciprocated for us too. We request that we be treated with grace, kindness and as human beings / individuals. Please note - I actually have played in league matches and friendly matches in Illinois and not once have we been treated with this way. Would love to hear from the management on this and hope we are not barred from playing here because we voiced our concerns!!!"
"I would give it about 4.5 stars. The staff was, average, but the frozen yogurt machine was a nice touch. The indoor courts so say are too cold, but in my opinion, they are just fine."
"Spencer does a great job running this facility. He’s got a great staff who do excellent workouts and i The remodel is just beautiful.! Thank you for all of your hard work Spencer!"
"Great Place. Friendly, responsive, and reasonable. I especially appreciate the down to earth tone of the place. The pros are a great bunch, and have plenty of time and praise for you no matter your skill level or age."
