University Gardens Apartments

"I dont live here but my college student does. The office staff isn't helpful. Was out of heat for almost a month. Water heater leaked and damaged the appartment. Didn't have internet for over a month. Don't care about the renters there at all."

"Place is great for its price and the new management (2024) is full of great people. It’s an older apartment, but they’re quick to fix problems for you when they happen."

"It took over 4 months for University Gardens to solidify our living situation and send over the lease (we didn’t know what our apartment unit was until the day of move-in day). Additionally, there was always something wrong with the water or electricity. It’s location is in an unfortunate spot where water and electric can be spotty. Our heating broke in the middle of winter, and they didn’t fix it for 4-5 days. They gave us space heaters in the mean time, which barely helped. Overall, maintenance was sub-par at best. While working on some projects, they occasionally left our apartment and our neighbors’ apartments a complete mess without giving us a warning. Management was shady, the landlord and management team was constantly changing with no answer why. Communication between them wasn’t ideal either. Also, the mail room is also in the leasing office, meaning that you can only pick up packages during the week days during their business hours. Also, I lost several packages because of their unorganized system. The apartment is cheap, the paint is peeling, the bathroom had mold and the shower paint was also peeling. The walls were thin, we could always hear the neighbors. These are less so apartments, and more of a glorified overpriced college dormitory. They increased the rent by two fold per-person just because they could. These apartments (in my opinion) are not worth more than $700 max per-person. During our move out, while we were deep cleaning the apartment, we saw that some of our items were missing after the vendors and maintenance came through, and that was the last experience I had with them before I moved out. We still haven’t gotten any updates about our missing (stolen) items. Overall, I had a very underwhelming experience here at the Gardens. The one perk with this apartment is that they provided a TV for us, but that is about it."

"I like living here. Close by the U, the living space is worth the price, & majority of the people living here are students. The new manager has also been very helpful with questions/concerns that my roommates and I have. There’s always something that needs to be fixed, but maintenance has done a good job keeping up with everything."

"The University Gardens is perfect for any student looking to move away from the dorms, or just looking to get closer to campus. The rent is extremely affordable and you are getting DirecTV, Google Fiber Internet, 50 inch flat screen TV, washer and dryer IN YOUR APARTMENT! We also got a new hot tub along side with many fire pits to use as well. The rent is far better than competition and comes completely furnished. You are also put directly down the street from downtown Salt Lake. I don't know what else you could ask for in an apartment complex, especially one so close to campus."
