Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City

"Perfectly located, high end hotel. We had a fabulous stay at the Monaco for birthday. The check in process was flawless and easy and the hotel surprised me with apple cider, chocolate covered strawberries and a cute note for my birthday. It made me feel so special. The rooms are a great size and have beautiful bathrooms! If you are staying in downtown SLC I highly recommend the Monaco. It's location is perfect. Close to multiple restaurants, bars, etc all within walking distance. The Vault, which is the bar inside the hotel is awesome and has delicious drinks. And the lobby has a cute fireplace and games to play if the weather is not suitable outside."

"Centrally located and great access to lots of the wonderful places and things to do downtown. Offer a lot of services and very helpful. Can provide items and get items you need. Room had: a steamer, hair dryer, fridge, soaps and the usual shower products. ALL the staff were wonderful. Valet people super polite and professional. Remember to tip them! We had pets with us and they were very accommodating. We did not go down to Bambara but next time would definitely like to. Menu looked great. Beautiful space and open kitchen. We had some small issues but nothing to put an otherwise good experience down. As a pair in our 30s and from our upbringing I will say it can sometimes feel a bit stuffy due to the majority of people who book, nothing to do with the staff or the hotel (they're wonderful and will make you feel comfortable). Just prepare mentally to adjust. You will have a great stay regardless."

"I hate to do this but I’m devastated. Hotel Monaco has been my favorite hotel in Salt Lake City for over 14 years. When we showed up tonight we found it hand been completely redone. It’s now a cookie cutter, no better than a Hilton hotel, hotel. It’s so disappointing. One of the draws was the uniqueness and character. It was always a clean, fantastically run hotel that felt so upscale. The color pallet is now cold and unwelcoming, and I can honestly say I may not come back. I really am sad, this is as my favorite escape from every day life and would stay here several times a year. I guess it’s time to find a new favorite:"

"Beautiful hotel downtown salt lake city. Valet was great. Everything was updated and very clean. Quick booked online for a queen room and it was one of the smallest rooms ive seen. But worked great for me and my husband. Will be back to eat at the restaurant. Also sadly if you're lonely they dont give you a gold fish anymore but they did offer me a flower."
