He and his staff were incredibly patient and understanding of my son’s fears about the treatment and procedures, and took extra care to ensure his comfort. "Hello! I just clocked out of my last shift as medical assistant for Dr. Mikol Anderson, so, rest assured, I will be in no way compensated for what I am about to post here. I worked as Dr. Anderson's sole full-time medical assistant for two years, so I would venture to say that if anyone can speak to Dr. Anderson's demeanor, his professionalism, or the care he provides in his clinic, it's me. In Dr. Anderson's clinic, his patients come first, no matter what. I was carefully instructed regularly on how to make sure that what I was doing put the patient first. While we weren't always perfect, I'd say about 95% of the time our clinic ran in such a way (under Dr. Anderson's direction) that our patients waited no more than 5 minutes past their appointment time, if at all. Same day appointments were almost always available. When they weren't, emergent cases were either double-booked to be seen the same day or within 24 hours. We did all we could to meet our patients' needs in a timely manner and strove for excellence in patient care. This continues to be the standard in Dr. Anderson's office, and obviously, the other reviews posted here speak to that effect. Dr. Anderson is up-to-date on the latest research and he uses it every day to treat his patients. His recommendations are backed in research that is current and applicable, and, as a result, his patients get better. Dr. Anderson is conservative. While he is an extremely talented surgeon, he never, not once, steered a patient toward surgery who had other treatment options available. He always tries the most conservative approaches to begin with and only proceeds with surgery (or urges patients to do so) if it truly is the best plan of care for them. Dr. Anderson is a fabulous teacher. He is extremely humble and confident simultaneously. He helps his patients understand their conditions and explains in detail his care plan for them without ever making them feel talked down to. Dr. Anderson is a people person. I watched him connect with people from every walk of life and treat each person exactly the same across the board. The positive, friendly atmosphere at Anderson Foot & Ankle is obvious from the second you walk through the door. This is largely due to the above qualities I've listed as well as how kindly he treats his employees. You would be hard-pressed to find a medical assistant (the employee lowest on the food chain) who can write a review like this one for any physician. So, if you're in the market for a podiatrist and you would like to see someone who will treat you like a friend who gives clear, conservative advice, schedule with Dr. Anderson. If you want your doctor to talk TO you, not down to you, schedule with Dr. Anderson. If you want to entrust your care to someone who is current on the latest research in foot and ankle, schedule with Dr. Anderson. If you want to see someone who is a kind, friendly person behind the scenes, schedule with Dr. Anderson. I know you, like the thousands of patients of his I've met, will be so glad you found him."

"I was referred to Dr. Anderson by two completely separate people so I figured he was a good option. I have been so happy so far. I have never had to wait past my appointment time to be seen. All the office and medical assistants have been very helpful and pleasant. "For about three years my husband went to Dr. Anderson and his visits were always enjoyable because Dr. Anderson was always so easy to talk to and he was very good working with my husband's very sensitive feet. My husband passed away about 2 1/2 years ago and now I find myself going to him. I had several concerns and he took the time to explain many things to me which was so appreciated. His nurse or assistant, Natalie, took wonderful notes so I could return home and not forget anything. Natalie is also a joy to be around. I recommend Dr. Mikol Anderson to anyone, any age, but, my husband and I, being older seniors, I can highly recommend him to seniors because not all doctors work as well as he does with seniors. He is friendly and concerned about you and gives you the best possible attention. He is quite the expert in his field."
