Lucky Buffet

"Very good local buffet. Sushi was good. Mandarin entrees were good. Nothing amazing, but consistent, clean, organized, and mostly labeled. I felt like it was good value. Better than the last time I was there. Server was attentive and pleasant. Ice cream machine was on point lol and the almond cookies were good."

"Hands down this is the premiere top-notch buffet in town for Chinese. Also having a Mongolian grill inside is just such pleasure. Lucky buffet gets a lot of patrons and sometimes parking is scarce, but that goes to show you what kind of a food establishment this is. Start with the Mongolian BBQ and make sure you get an ample supply of cabbage and bean sprouts in order to make the food knit together. I have never experienced a dry general tso's chicken like I have at other places. Other places might be easier to get to but they have less patronage and the food doesn't turn over as often and it's not as fresh as lucky. I've had Chinese buffet from Logan to Midvale and this is number ONE in my book and it's actually a little more expensive, but not bad with the meal and a drink running you a dollar or two higher than other places it is quite well worth it.. I've been downtown at Charlie Chow's, I've had Asian buffet in Layton, I've had buffets all over northern Utah and Lucky buffet has to be the absolute number one."

"Come hungry, leave happy. Our kids enjoy the variety chicken, beef, seafood, and desserts. There is a buffet for standard Chinese, salad and sushi then a Mongolia Grill for those who prefer to design their own. Friendly staff, open space, and a chill environment makes this a good place for dining alone or bringing the family."

"I have eaten here before and was not able to find much that I was in the mood for. The egg drop soup was unfortunately one of the worst I have ever tasted. The egg rolls and sushi were amazing! I tried the pasta salad as well and it was delicious! The Mongolian barbecue section is always on point, mainly because you decide what is in it. The seafood bake was interesting, the jury is out on good or bad interesting. I LOVED the wontons but the piece de resistance is the cake they have!! It is wonderfully creamy and has the perfect amount of coffee taste to it. I don't know what it is but I could eat an entire pan without hesitation and I did eat like 6 pieces. I will probably be back for the Mongolian barbecue and the cake alone."

"It was a pretty good place. The food was good with a very wide variety of options available. However, perhaps due to the high variety, nothing seemed to stand out as extraordinary delicious, even though it still did taste good. It was all at a good price too. Overall, a great buffet restaurant with pretty good food. Would recommend, and would visit again."
