Palio’s Pizza Café

"Worst delivery service ever! Don't order online or expect delivery. They charge your card instantly, but you'll never get your pizza. Called 3 times over 3 hours, always on the way, but never any pizzas. Had to go in person for a refund. Don't go here, try a different place. THE WORST!!! Update 2/14, still no refund, called the store and said they can only do refunds on the same day, now I have to go back in to the store to talk to the manager. What a nightmare. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else. Zero stars if I could. Update 2/15 - I finally got a call today from the local manager, who was very polite and apologetic and had arranged with the owner to get me cash back for my refund. Should have happened on day one, but at least it happened. I would still not order delivery from there. Upped my service to 2 stars."

"This is the best pizza in Melissa... hands down. I have eaten at several Palio's locations around DFW. This has a very similar feel on the inside as others, but newer. I ordered the large half BBQ chicken and half Meat. Sorry for the guy who didn't get his sauce, because what I had was very good. The BBQ sauce is sweet with a little kick. The cook time was spot on. The toppings were fresh. My wife had the gluten free crust half BBQ chicken and half Hawaiian. This is by far the best tasting pizza GF crust we have found in Melissa. Cadillac Pizza has probably the best GF crust in the area, but it's twice as much. The GF pizza picture is the one with the pineapple on it. My pictures don't do it justice. I had already eaten almost half my pizza before I remembered to take a photo. Don't waste your money on the main chain pizza joints like PJ, Dominoes, Papa Murphy, etc. This is worth it. There isn't a pizza on their menu that isn't top notch. My only gripe was the staff was less than stellar. It wasn't bad or negative... just kinda apathetic and not there to give the customer a good experience. They could have bussed a table or two, greeted the customers, been present, or even smiled. But, service aside... they made a great pizza and looking forward to eating there again... even if I have to pump some life into the staff myself. :-)"

"At this moment, I am unimpressed. I purchased a large pizza to go, all meat, two cheese and thin crust. But, it was a little over cooked and there was NO sauce! Who has pizza with mom sauce? So, it was dry and somewhat tasteless. Looking at the menu, sure enough, no sauce is part of the pizza. I didn't realize pizza could come with no sauce. Nonetheless, I want to try something else from this place so I can get them a better review."

"Shockingly awful experience. Took my son to the bathroom and there was no toilet paper. Asked an employee for some and they said they ran out. Went to wash our hands and there was no soap. Went to dry my hands and there was no paper towels. We should've trusted our instincts and left realizing the employees couldn't possibly be washing their hands with soap before cooking but we stayed. Pizza took forever to arrive even though there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant. When it finally came, the order was all wrong. I've been to bad restaurants but this was the worst. The manager didn't even seem to care that things were in such disarray."

"Everything we ordered was delicious! We had no wait time to order, took hardly anytime to get our food, prices were decent, and the staff was phenomenal! We had never eaten here and was unsure about the menu items. The cashier was very helpful and spot on with her recommendations. My son has allot of food allergies and if they didn't immediately have an answer for our questions, they wasted no time in figuring it out and letting us know. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!"
