Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi

"Walked in was told the wait time was 30 minutes that was fine as we had expected that! After being there 15 minutes I noticed how dirty the place was and how rude the staff was to all the guests who asked anything. Others in the waiting area told me they were there for 30 minutes already. A gentleman asked the owner a question and his response was very rude and unprofessional. So after waiting an hour, we decided why let this experience get any worse. So safe to say I will never be back. This is the 3rd time I have tried to go and had a horrible experience. I remember 10 years ago when this place was good. Definitely a thing of the past. Take your money elsewhere."

"The place was packed (as usual). Took 20 minutes to get a hibachi. Quicker if you just go to sushi bar but you know we all go for the habachi! I wasn't a fan of our waitress but they're turnover rate is usually horrible so she was probably new. As for the hibachi, GREAT experience and we managed to get one of my favorite cooks! He is always hilarious and he always cooks the steak and rice perfectly! I've had good and bad experiences with this place (one cook intentionally burned my food after he tried to serve it to me undercooked. He's not there anymore..) but overall it's still the same place we've been going to for over 30 years. I'll always suggest this place!"

"I ordered chicken hibachi, steak, hibachi, a shaggy dog and Spicy Bibimbap Bulgogi. This is the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at for hibachi. The rice was hard and flavorless. The shrimp was dry and hard, definitely overcooked. The vegetables were definitely different than any hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to very American if you asked me. The online menu is incorrect. It told me that the Spicy Bibimbap Bulgogi was a special roll but it wasn’t even a sushi. (And this matters because they charge you extra for wasabi if it’s not a special roll.) It did consist of an Egg roll. The egg roll tasted like dirt and Vegetables but mostly mushy. I’ve eaten hibachi in almost all the states. This is one that I could honestly live without. Anyone that eats at this restaurant probably doesn’t know how to cook. The presentation was so beautiful. Also, the front desk offered me soy sauce for my sushi, but never put it in the bag and I asked for a fork for my daughter and she also forgot that too. Sushi is meant to be dipped in the soy sauce. I was charged 50 Cent each for the smallest piece of wasabi I’ve ever seen. Is this a dying restaurant in your town to charge 50 Cent for wasabi because I’ve never been charged for wasabi. I spent $100+. Oh, and I didn’t get any dressing for salad even though I asked. I would recommend going to Texas Roadhouse across the street. I had them yesterday, and it’s never let down. Not exactly the experience you want visiting a town. The soup was actually delightful."

"Update 2ND TRY: Tried this place again, and the service was just shy of tolerable. I don't know if the server has never served before or just plan bad at her job, but she never cleared the table, at a certain point I had to go fix my own drinks, clean off my table and started putting stuff of an empty table next to our section just to make room. Needless to say, the service is....not the best. Food wise, it was decent but I won't give this place a 3rd try. The food isn't wowing and the service is agrovating. STAY AWAY! 1st visit impression: I have no idea how the food is but if it's anything like the service, RUN! I was told before even going here, the service was bad, but I tried any way. There was tons of empty seats and a alot sitting people waiting up front, but no hostess. After 5 mins one showed up just to cash someone out and then take off again. No acknowledgement of us standing waiting to get a table. After she finally did come, we said we wanted to do sushi, not hibachi, she mumbled something and took off again. We waited for another 5 mins with out any idea or word from the hostess and left with several other people that were just over it. I don't know how this place even stays open with the lack of service they provide."
