"I saw Dr. Passer twice. At my first appointment i told him that my previous primary care provider would prescribe thyroid to me and asked if he could be my primary care. He said yes that he would. Then at the next appointment it was like he didn’t remember telling me that at all and said, “i don’t do primary care anymore”. So that was frustrating but I am like whatever. When i moved here a year ago, i was on thyroid medication and also phentermine for weight loss/appetite control. He won’t prescribe you phentermine because he has this lady that he hires to be in charge of a weight loss department at his office. I went to the appointment with that lady (she doesn’t accept insurance) and I told her I know my body and what works for me (i had lost 60 pounds on my former program). She says she encourages me to do some other program that is very costly and insurance doesn’t cover it. No, i was not impressed at all but i pay for the phentermine prescription and look elsewhere for a primary care physician. So the thyroid prescription runs out and Dr. Passers secretary (very rude and unprofessional lady) contacts me and says i have a bill to pay and that i needed to come in before the thyroid could be refilled. At some point i went into the office. This lady has no tact at all. She was screaming on the phone and talking to me like i was stupid. She tells me that she has to leave early so she will just call me when she can (not the same day of course). I am in need of thyroid medication that i have been on so i happen to get off work and swing by the office. Thank God that obnoxious woman is not there and i talk to another nurse or assistant and i talk to the doctor. I let the doctor know that his secretary is very rude and unprofessional. He apologized for her and refilled my prescription. A few months go by and I establish a primary care physician but she doesn’t like to prescribe thyroid. So I called the pharmacy and they told me that I needed to contact Dr. Passers office. I called this morning and guess who answered the phone? She keeps talking over me and doesn’t let me finish a sentence (like she did in the past) and i give her my date of birth. She then tells me that i need to contact someone to refill the prescription. I told her that is why I was calling them so i can make an appointment. She then tells me that i haven’t been there in two years (I’ve only lived in this state for a little over a year). Then she tells me not to come back and find someone else to treat me. Never been fired from a doctor before but honestly, I am thankful to not ever have to see or hear that control freak again! I do want my medical records and have every right to them so i may just pay her a little visit and pick them up. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. You have been warned."
"I've been a patient of Dr. Passer for several years and I always receive excellent care. He listens to me and has solutions that have helped me greatly, both for my thyroid and for my hormones. I'm very grateful to have found him."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. I absolutely LOVED Dr. Palmer, I haven’t been into the office since his passing. I had a medical emergency for my Raynauds, losing all feeling in my legs and poor circulation that was urgent. Got put on the phone with Doctor Passer in which he yelled at me telling me he has never seen me before, so he could not help me. I would understand this if I was the one who called him, maybe not knowing he was unable to help, but that was not the case. I needed help and I needed to talk to SOMEONE so the receptionist transferred me to him. I did not call him, they connected me with him. I did not ask to speak with him, I just needed to talk to someone on call. Why would you connect me with him if he is unable to help OR if he hates his job so much he is willing to YELL at patients? Horrible. Hung up the phone in tears after being so disrespected by someone who should be caring for me, helping me, and telling me what to do in this unknown health situation. I am so upset and will never be returning to this office, DO BETTER. We look to YOU in the healthcare industry to help us in unknown situations, guide us, care for us. I felt no care, no guidance, no NOTHING other than disrespect and pure anger at this office and Dr. Passer in particular. DO NOT go to this office. The kicker? I was guided medically in no way. Absolutely horrible."
"Tina was great, but left in 2020 & Passer doesn’t listen to patients. I told him in the fall of 2020 I still felt exhausted (I have Hashimoto’s) & he blew me off, “don’t know what to tell you.”…Except my thyroid medication has to be changed b/c it’s been discontinued. Didn’t tell me WHY it had been. Found out later it was b/c it was recalled for not being the potency it claimed it was. PASSER KNEW THIS & blew off my complaints of being exhausted??? He didn’t read or pay attention to my file before seeing me March of 2021. I have A-Fib, THEY KNOW THIS. The receptionist hands every patient a list of their meds to make any changes or confirm nothing has changed & then hand to the nurse when called. I have been on Xarelto since 2016, been going to Passer’s office since 2018. After my appt in March, they called with blood work results, suggested I take baby aspirin every day due to my heart condition. OH…my…GAWD! Ok, I nervously laughed it off, realizing I wasn’t important enough for them to pay attention to what meds I took (Tina was VERY careful about that). Then, there is bloodwork that my insurance only pays once/year. Passer did that blood work in fall of 2020 then turned around & did it again in March. I now have a $300+ bill with them. I go to my regular Dr for my annual physical EVERY YEAR in Feb or March & they do all the regular health bloodwork & it’s all paid for by insurance b/c it’s preventative & considered women’s health. Get the EOB & it’s $500 not paid for. What??? Passer, when I TOLD HIM I had my regular physical coming up, STILL did ALL bloodwork my regular Dr does EVERY YEAR. Tina never ever ever had done that b/c it said in my file I was seeing my regular Dr for my annual every Feb/Mar. Gets better….My thyroid meds & progesterone creams needed renewed. I call them into my pharmacy, they said they needed to contact Passer’s office. It was a Friday morning & Passer closes at noon on Friday. Renewing my meds was the whole reason I saw him! So had to wait until Monday when Passer’s rude nurse tells me until I pay my full $300 bill, “we won’t renew your meds!” Can they legally do that?!?! I then laid into the nurse telling her all the things Passer has done, ignored, or not told me. She went quiet, I asked 2 or 3 times if she was still there. She finally responded with, “I’m waiting until you’re done ranting,” oh honey, you haven’t heard me rant yet. NO apology for doing bloodwork they had NO BUSINESS doing on me or asking me if my regular Dr did that bloodwork. Passer would have seen Tina had it noted in my file what bloodwork Restorative Health does & when they do it. NOW they are charging interest each month our bill isn’t fully paid off, for a mistake HE MADE! & has not ONCE apologized for, while having $500 at my Dr’s office b/c of his mistake. NO APOLOGY EVER! Do NOT go here now that Tina is gone. She was the only person that knew what they were doing in that office."
"I see Tina at Dr. Passer's office and my health has improved under her care. I also see Penny and have followed a weight loss program under her supervision for some time now. I have lost 70 pounds. I have obtained and have maintained a healthy body mass index as a result of losing the 70 pounds. I have kept the weight off. I feel much better and I am very impressed with the caring staff and highly competent medical care that I receive."
