"You don’t need to cancel the event. Get someone with an actual clue to run it. Nothing has been organized well for years now. Don’t blame your failure to organize on a lack of labor. Plenty of college kids that can take payments or plate food."

"Without a better payment system, this event will not survive. What a disaster!! Huge lines to pick up bands, huge lines to add money, system problems making it impossible to use the bands at several booths (had to pay cash). Left early because of all the frustration. Wonderful idea, terrible implementation. Won’t go again unless the payment system improves dramatically."

"As always the food was great Kudos to the volunteers and the staff in the booths for dealing with the truly abysmal payment system. Not sure if it's a poor idea, poor implementation, or both. Please re-think the process over the coming year. This is what lines to get the wristband were like."

"This year's event organization/payment system was abismal! First off it was $10 JUST to gain an RFID band which was necessary to purchase ANYTHING instead of tickets/coins. We purchased our bands and loaded money in advance but still had to wait 30 minutes just to get our RFID bands. Then we come to find out that in order to load more money onto our band we needed to get back into the GENERAL line which was out the door. The event website made it seem you could load money as needed but it closed 9am morning of the event. There were wasted resources of volunteers walking around that could only give you your RFID band if you registered beforehand but not add funds to your band. Band purchasing/redemption should have occurred at the entrance instead of creating masses of people within the event area. This was a horrible execution- hope it's fixed by next year or a beloved event by locals is doomed to go extinct. Food and beer were excellent but even the participants were frustrated by the new system. It would also be nice if tastes were only 2ish dollars with smaller portions to truly TASTE what Durango had to offer."

"Payment system is garbage. You have to get a wristband and load money onto it. After waiting in a long line to get the wristband I specifically asked how I could load more money on before I walked away and was told you’ll see people with red lanyards everywhere that can reload it. We didn’t see a single one. If they exist they are hiding. So your only choice is to get back in the super long wristband line. My family planned to spend the day here but we were forced to leave since we couldn’t pay and refused to spend another 30 minutes in line. I recommend avoiding this event!"
