"If you remember the movie 8 mile and that old trailer rabbit and his mom and sister lived in and the trailer park... This is not too far off the mark from that trailer and it's surroundings. The long term clientele that golden arms attracts is exactly what you see in 8 mile. This is very much a get your sh#$ together and get out build your credit get your ducks in a row for more expensive places and get out do not stay more than a years lease. There is a problem with security doors that should lock don't and there's no one that lives on property to keep tabs on things. The homeless can and will sneak in or be let in during winter months otherwise they live in the dumpster area or in their cars both up in the parking lot and right by the trash area . There's a resident snake in the vents and the mice it eats run around in the walls and make appearances in throughout the apartment....could not for the life of me figure out how a mouse or several were coming in by my vents both in the kitchen and in the bedroom when that floor is below ground kept thinking there's no way a mouse would burrow 6 or 7 feet down to get in and then the snake showed up. Was in the bathroom one of kids pointed up and there's a snake hanging out of the vent. That's when I had had enough and the dominos all lined up. I realized some dip was feeding their snake live mice and that's where all those mice were coming from. My vent was bolted shut but according to the critter catcher that snake is still wandering the vents and I'd probably gonna be around for quite awhile so be warned. Packages I was told to have ups just drop it on my doorstep because people were stealing packages out of the open bind but with that it still leaves it open to 12 other apartments at least 24 other people and an unlocked door to the outside stills means it's up for grabs. They have started to replace or fix somethings but without managers or maintenance on-site it's not likely to stay nice"

"I don’t ever write reviews, but if I could give this place a negative I would. I lived here for a year, and I can’t move out soon enough. management does nothing. The locks to get into the buildings never work even when you let management know. They are constantly broken, which is unsafe. Everything about this place is disgusting and not kept up. It ALWAYS smells terrible. It seems as though everyone here is smoking cigarettes inside the building and comes through the vents. The laundry is always broken. I can’t count how many times the police have been in the parking lot to arrest someone or chase after someone. There has to be somewhere better than this for this price! They raised the rates which is ridiculous for what you’re paying for. It’s like living in a cheap hotel, but worse. The only plus side of this place is the lady in the leasing center. She is very sweet."

"I would not waste your time or money on this apartment complex. The same three mattresses have been sitting in the trashcan area for almost 6 months now. Trying to get worked done on your apartment is impossible. They do not respect their tenants and do not enforce rules. This is the poorest managed building I’ve ever lived in. When my unit flooded in the kitchen it went through the wall and into my room when I notified them and was concerned about mold issues or ruining the carpet they told me it will be fine."

"I would give this place negative stars if I could! I wouldn't say I have insanely high standards and you can tell what type of place this is from the outside but when I tell you it was the most disgusting place I've ever lived. Golden arms is a joke. They have little respect for tenants personal space. We had multiple plumbing issues and the a/c never worked. One of the biggest problems I encountered was with management. Management at this location changed very often and the manger that is currently in the office is greedy and rude to the tenants. She only cares about the money. If an issue comes up with something (maintenance wise or anything else really) she drags her feet and is unresponsive about the issues. They are slumlords at the finest. The apartment overall is over priced for the state that it is in. The appliances are very out of date and as stated before there are constant issues all around. I really do not recommend living here at all, you are better off spending your money elsewhere! Save yourself the time, energy and stress and AVOID it all costs."
