"I stopped in for dinner during a work trip one evening. The restaurant had one other couple and me. A quiet night, great ambiance when you walk by the place, with candle lit tables, rich colors that made the place feel warm/inviting. My server was training, so he had someone else with him. She was obnoxious and a bit too much. The young gentleman was kind and attentive. Overall, I ordered the foie gras mouse (photo attached) that was piped into a thick piece of broché toast. The starter was a bit too dry and the flavors were competing with each other a bit too much. For my main, I decided on the steak frites. The entire dish was over salted, a complete sodium bomb. The fries had been overcooked and would crumble when you bit one. The presentation on both dishes was nice but this place needs to focus on the food taste not the presentation."

"Bistro Leroux, nestled in the vibrant heart of Denver, is a gem that shines brightly in the culinary constellation, a beacon for those seeking an experience that transcends the ordinary. Awarded a Michelin star, a testament to its excellence, this bistro is a sanctuary where the art of French cuisine is not just practiced but elevated, creating a dining experience that resonates with the soul. The moment one steps into Bistro Leroux, there’s an unmistakable sense of having entered somewhere truly special. The decor, a tasteful blend of Parisian elegance and Colorado’s rustic charm, sets a stage for an intimate gastronomic journey. The lighting, soft and inviting, complements the warm hues of the interior, creating an ambiance that’s both refined and welcoming. Under the guidance of its visionary chef, Bistro Leroux offers a menu that is a masterpiece of balance and innovation. Each dish, crafted from the finest locally sourced ingredients and imbued with classic French techniques, is a celebration of flavor, texture, and aroma. The attention to detail is palpable, from the selection of the ingredients to the presentation on the plate, making every course a work of art. The Duck Confit is a revelation, its skin crispy, and the meat tender, melting in the mouth with each bite, served alongside a delicate fig reduction that adds a touch of sweetness to the rich, savory flavors. The Sea Scallops, seared to perfection and accompanied by a truffle-infused cauliflower puree, showcase the chef’s ability to create harmony on a plate, marrying the earthy with the aquatic in a symphony of taste. But what truly sets Bistro Leroux apart is its ambiance of warmth and inclusivity. Here, the Michelin star is not a barrier but a beacon, inviting all who appreciate the nuances of fine dining to partake in its joys. The service is impeccable, with a staff that anticipates every need, ensuring that each guest feels not just catered to, but cherished. As the evening wanes, and the last morsels of a perfectly crafted dessert are savored—a Chocolate Soufflé that is the epitome of decadence—it’s clear that Bistro Leroux is not just a restaurant. It is a testament to the power of culinary excellence, a place where the love for food and the joy of sharing it with others creates an experience that is unforgettable. In a city known for its dynamic dining scene, Bistro Leroux stands out not just for its Michelin star, but for its heart. It is a celebration of the best that Denver has to offer, a reminder that in the world of cuisine, there are places that don’t just feed the body, but also feed the soul."

"Beautiful surroundings but just OK experience. The meal felt rushed and staff seemed annoyed. Smoked tartare had a flavor of butane more so than natural wood smoke. Trout filet still had bones, earthy in taste and otherwise bland. Scallop dish looked good. Short rib was tasty but small portion. Not at the top of my list, especially at this price point."

"Fresh bread. The short rib was cooked just right with incredible flavor. The steak frites, as always, amazing and cooked perfectly rare to my liking. The mussels and oysters were definitely on the small side, but delicious. If you’re visiting Denver, or even if you live here, come check this French restaurant out!"

"We came here over a year ago and got some flavorless scallops but we decided to give them another chance. This time I got a medium rare steak but when I cut it open it was bloody, completely raw and inedible. The waiter brought me a new dish, which was nice, but if that’s your most expensive entree ($40) it should be cooked correctly. The French dip was tasty but nothing to write home about. We won’t be back."
