If I had never started going into their (Aurora) office, I assure you, I wouldn't be here today. I came into the office in shambles. I was leaving the most toxic work environment I had ever been a part of as well as grieving the death of my mother. I felt like for years people in my family - then my future family, were all passing away. Due to this, my career, which I had put first for so long, was taking a major downfall. I was downright suicidal and had been for years. I had never taken time to grieve, or even start a healing process and quite honestly, I didn't even know where to start. "I've been dealing with TRD for 25 years. Between talk therapy, support groups and medications, nothing really helped me. I reached out to Axis and they scheduled an appointment for me to meet with Sarah. Sarah is incredible! Kind, attentive, professional and very knowledgeable. She helped me understand everything about the process. Axis were able to work with my insurance to approve treatment, and I started 2 weeks later. It is now 11 weeks after starting. My life is in the process of turning around. Typically the course of treatment is to do two sessions per week for the first month, then lower it to once a week for second month, and after that it is patient dependent. However, after 4 weeks my situation was still pretty bad, so I continued the regimen of twice a week for 9 weeks, and recently moved to once a week. I am still in need of care, but overall my condition has improved dramatically. I would not be able to get to this point were it not for the amazing support that everyone at Axis have been giving me.
