Children's Colorado Health Pavilion

"No parent wants the news that their children will need to be hospitalized. Children's Hospital Colorado made this news tolerable. The staff was super informative and knowledgeable, sympathetic, and extremely thoughtful. The level of confidence and expertise they portray is completely outstanding. Drs and nurses alike explain things and plans in a way everyone can understand. Our stay was made enjoyable by the staff as they would stay to chat and by giving info about current events. When they found out my son was visiting me from 7 hours away for his birthday, they went above and beyond to get him birthday gifts. I am saddened that your child must go to the hospital for any reason, but I am grateful that you will have the option to go to CHC as they strive to take care of everyone."

"I was running a few minutes late for my child’s Physical Therapy appointment on the 3rd floor. I thought it would be faster to check in directly at the desk with a person, instead of the self check-in kiosk, and there was no line. I felt bad that I was late and I didn't want to keep the Physical Therapist waiting any longer than I already had. The three women behind the desk were talking to each other when I approached. I explained that I was late to the appointment and would it be okay to check-in there? Instead of answering my question, the woman named April forcefully asked my “relation to the child,” in the same way one would during a police interrogation. When I firmly answered her, she abruptly stopped the check-in and told me to go to the kiosk since I was not more than 15 minutes late for the appointment. She appeared to take pleasure in turning me away and the three women loudly and animatedly continued their non-work related conversation. I sat in the waiting area during my child’s appointment for about 45 minutes and I witnessed an elderly man approach the desk for help. April loudly informed the man that he pushed the wrong button and had incorrectly identified himself as the patient. The poor guy was obviously frustrated but instead of actually helping him, she told him to go back to the kiosk and do it all over again. Then she was surly with a couple of different, non-native English speaking families who approached the desk. I figured she is unkind and unhelpful to everyone, but then I saw some instances where she was actually friendly and checked the person in and did not direct them to the kiosk at all. It would appear that you have employed someone who freely picks and chooses whom she deems worthy of her service, while treating the rest of us with disdain. I do not look forward to encountering your staff again, at my child’s next appointment."

"Children's Colorado Health Pavillion is great! The staff as soon as you walk in were friendly. Check in was easy. And there was a short wait time. The nurse and doctor were caring and knowledgeable and answered all of the questions we asked. Treatment was convenient as we were given everything we needed to help my daughter heal at the appointment. I highly recommend this place!"

"I really like that you or your child can check in at the computer kiosk when you arrive. The staff at the front desk were friendly. We went about a half of an hour early to the appointment and still didn't wait but 10 minutes before being called. The doctor and nurse on the other hand weren't very helpful and very judgmental. They never gave me a solid answer on how they would help my kiddo. They were being very intrusive and asking questions that had nothing to do with her health. Plus I don't think they understood my culture and felt unwelcome at their clinic. I'm sure I'll never bring any of my kids back here."

"Great facility. Went here for my sisters appointment for her wrists. Great clean room, not too long waits, and very great staff. Dr Wilson was very kind and polite to her, so was Jason who walked us into the room (A5) . My sister’s wrists I heard are doing better still for now which is good. Overall, great facility. Would recommend and will be back. Their café on the 4th floor is really nice as well."
