"As a trans woman, I've had very bad experiences with them over two months. I'm confident to say that Denver Health is not a safe place for trans women. Their LGBTQ department is useless as well if you seek justice.... If you're a transgender, I guarantee, you will get misgendered and receive rudeness by some of the staff members on a regular basis. If you try to submit a complaint, you'll have even worse experience with their managers. There are too many staff members and managers there that are not gender affirming at all.. The discrimination against the transgender individuals is an institutional issue at Denver Health.. My recommendation is, if you're a transgender person then STAY AWAY FROM DENVER HEALTH. We deserve respect, we're not less human... This is the edit part. I'm writing this after their response. I tried to contact that same "advocacy" department. Email, voicemail I received no response from that "advocacy" department. I tried to contact several departments.. It was a useless effort... Because of this organization I ended up at the Wellpower's crisis center. I will never except their apology... They're dis-honest people. I've seen enough..!!!"

"Awful for LGBTQIA healthcare. Took over a month to schedule an appointment. They set the first appointment against my listed availability because of work. I had to cancel the appointment and wait for them to schedule another. After waiting four weeks (the standard wait time for ANY appointment), I went in for my appointment. The person that checked me in was the only person that correctly used my name. I was addressed by the wrong name and misgendered by all of the clinical staff repeatedly. The medical history questions were not adjusted at all for queer people. I had to educate the nurse about the meaning of "PVI". I received inaccurate information from the provider about my queer medical concerns. They were kind but not queer aware or knowledgeable enough for how serious my questions were. They refused to run relevant tests before starting treatment. I left a message with the patient advocate number. They promised a callback in less than 24 hours. It's been a day and a half. I've tried scheduling at a different Denver Health office, there's another month wait minimum. I've talked to queer friends about their experiences with Denver Health. All of them reported being incorrectly named and misgendered on most visits. Addressing people correctly is basic human respect, and Denver Health doesn't prioritize it for queer people. If this is your only option for queer healthcare, prepare yourself for a bad time and bring a friend."
