UCHealth Urgent Care - Erie

"I was seen today at the urgent care, my provider was Lesley. She was so unprofessional, abrasive, and dismissive. Within two minutes of being in the room she argues with me about my most recent visit regarding the same issue. She proceeds to raise her voice and say “so the ER got it wrong then, they lied!” I was stunned and taken aback by her bedside manner and her lack of empathy. I was sent here by my primary care as they could not get me in. I have an extensive medical history that is posted throughout my chart. She spent a little under 10 minutes with me and did very little to understand the complexity of my autoimmune disorder. In the past I would dismiss this type of behavior and internalize it, not anymore. I am a medical provider myself and would never speak to patients the way she spoke to me. I would highly suggest evaluating Lesley and her ability to properly care for patients. She may have competent medical knowledge for an urgent care but it takes compassion, patience, and empathy to work with sick patients. Lesley was unable to display that today. I will not be returning to this facility. Please do your due diligence and monitor how Lesley treats patients."

"They provided care for my child about a year ago so we went back for a broken arm recently. It was very obvious he needed x-rays and we were very clear that he had no mobility in his arm when we arrived at check-in. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IMMEDIATELY IF THEY WERE GOING TO REFUSE TO TAKE X-RAYS FOR A CHILD. Instead they did a medical examination and told us the same thing we already knew... that he needed x-rays and to go to Children's. Children's was a 4 hour wait and all other urgent cares were closed at this point so we immobilized it ourselves and took him to a different urgent care in the morning. The other urgent care did x-rays and treated him on-site. We DID NOT need to be at Children's Hospital to x-ray and splint a child's broken arm. This place lied to us, left my kid in pain longer than necessary and charged us $150+ to tell us what we already knew. I highly recommend choosing a different urgent care in Erie."

"We came here for a second opinion and found out the other urgent care center down the street misdiagnosed our son due to a lack of wanting to test. All of the UCHealth staff were efficient, kind, full of energy (even at closing), and incredibly helpful. We’ll be choosing this location every time. Grateful they chose to open a location in the area!"

"I've visited at least 7 times and each time has been great. The staff are patient and clear, my doctor works to understand my needs, and appointments can be scheduled and paid for via the app. I've never had a cancelled appointment and I always receive courtesy calls a few days ahead of time. The place is clean, has ample seating in the waiting area, and the parking lot is always wide open. Wait times to see a doctor are usually a few days, but there's also a system to be notified if an appointment frees up early. Highly recommended."

"I had a very pleasant experience here on a Sunday for my 4 year old son with an ear infection. All the staff were so nice and good with kids (despite being an urgent care catering to adults) and we didn't wait very long to see the doctor. The nurse and doctor were very thorough with the exam and diagnosis. I will definitely return here if I have a weekend need for my kid instead of braving the long waits and children's hospital!"
