"WORST RIDING SCHOOL. If they can really even call themselves that. We have supported this school for over 2 years and until we looked into other riding schools in the area - we had no idea how bad it was. Okay for boarding but I would NOT recommend you let your kids ride here. Safety is of little concern. They let my 7 year old try to canter with no support, no attached lead rope, just a "go for it!". Communication is AWFUL. MANY TIMES have we shown up to our lesson to find out it's been canceled. With 0 notice. Billing is so unclear that you have no idea if you are being charged for canceled lessons or not. The instructors group lesson classes together so sometimes there would be 6-7 riders IN ONE CLASS. they do not teach the kids horsemanship or anything outside of the 45 mins they are on the saddle. lessons are cheaper than those around - but spend the extra $5 per class and get some real skills under your belt! I am so INCREDIBLY dissatisfied with this "business". Save your money and time and shop around. We found a much better riding school close by that offers 10x more value than this "school". If I could give them 0 stars - I would."

"My daughter attends summer camp here, and she LOVES it. The staff are friendly, the location is convenient, and the animals are happy and obviously well-cared for. Definitely recommend BEC!"

"Very kind staff and good riding tips in our beginner group class in a very low pressure and casual atmosphere."

"We recently started boarding our new family member with Jenna and Jeff for whom take great care and pride in the daily operations, equestrian training and facility management at Boulder Equestrian Center (BEC). Because they live on-site the supervision and communication has been excellent. When our horse threw a shoe Jenna texted us immediately after hours and kindly scheduled the farrier for us. Because Jenna and Jeff have small children who have been raised around ponies and horses they are conscientious about safety, personal responsibility, and the value of some good old fashion work. The grounds are well maintained and the vibe is laid back and comfortable. Jenna and Jeff are good energy, sociable, and they love what they do so they are a pleasure to be around. If you know someone that wants to experience the confidence and love of being around horses you have to call Jenna. We could not be happier with our new friends at BEC and we look forward to our new experiences 'in the country'. (photo of my daughter and Elvis at BEC)"

"We have been very happy boarding our pony at BEC and the care is consistent, high quality and all around wonderful. The barn manager cares for each horse as if it’s her own which makes us comfortable and happy, especially when we aren’t able to make it out to the barn for a few days, we know our gelding is in great and capable hands. Turn out pastures are spacious and great quality hay feed is included in board. Above the horse care, they are working to create a welcoming, inclusive and relaxed community where we can enjoy the best of Colorado and our equine friends! Can’t wait for summer at BEC!"
