"As a parent, I was searching for a school that would embrace my son's unique qualities and challenges that are not appreciated in conventional schools. My son has disabilities as well as anxiety issues in social settings. He was an easy target and his social/emotional needs were not met that he could not stay in one school for more than two years. In middle school, bullying got so bad that he could not function in school any longer and had to be home-schooled. Boulder Prep has been literally a life saver for my son and my family. All the teachers and staff at Prep are exceptional human beings who would go extra miles and do anything for their students' well-being. They teach not only subject matters but about relationships, life skills, and simply about life. They are safe adults whom my son can go to and talk about problems when he is having a tough time. My son is accepted for who he is and he feels comfortable and safe at school. He looks forward to go to school everyday, and the fact that he has friends is a complete turn-around from six months ago. As a parent, I cannot ask for more."

"Ever since her first day, my niece has been excited about high school and about Boulder Prep. She tends to be shy, and had not had a positive high school experience at that point, but found that right away people made her feel at home. She has now been there for a year and even went to summer school which Boulder Prep offers. It's a small school where both the students and teachers make everyone feel included. It's challenging scholastically, but teachers are there to help, and classes are made to feel relevant. There's a real feeling of community at Boulder Prep. When my daughter walked across the podium on graduation day and received her Boulder Prep High School diploma she was a reclaimed and revitalized person compared with the girl who first walked through their doors. The school teaches & guides its students; instills confidence in its students; and even hosts a warm & yummy kitchen that feeds their tummies full! And thanks to the school's ACT prep class full of strategies, encouragement, and a delicious test morning breakfast, my daughter was able to raise her ACT score enough to gain admission to a university. "Change is where life begins. Boulder Prep, is the only high school I would ever want to go back to (which when possible I choose to visit ). The experiences i had at Boulder Prep are like no other. Boulder Prep provides a great learning atmosphere for students and teachers to learn in. Boulder Prep I believe helps change people into the better. My time at Boulder Prep was short, but needed and loved and I would NEVER regret going to that school, honestly looking back on it there is nothing I would ever change about that school. The people, food, environment, activities, head master, teachers, stories and best of all the unity is through time what changed me as a person and made me a better person. Yes there were some bitter moments but there were VERY few of those in the grand scheme of things. I am so great full I had the opportunity to attend such a life changing school."
