My daughter was fitted for her pointe shoes here, it was such a wonderful, personalized experience. I am thankful for the time they took to make sure she got the right shoes. Everyone on staff is very knowledgeable and happy to help. Go here for all of your dance needs!"

"***Update*** The owner Amy Kenny reached out. Turns out she is super sweet and is doing everything she can to make her store inclusive. She did mention that she had a conversation with her employees about what happened. Amy took accountability for what happened, apologized, and even offered to refund my sister for the ballet shoes (which we declined), as we were not looking to gain free products or have anyone fired but to simply prevent this from happening to anyone else. Due to the compassion and understanding of Amy Kenny, and her commitment to help ensure that dance is for EVERYONE, we have decided to give Boulder Body Wear another chance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drove 40 minutes out of the way to go to this store and had a HORRIBLE experience! While waiting patiently in line to try on shoes, the sales associate skipped over my sister and started to help the woman behind her. When my sister asked why she was skipped, the sales associate replied that they were really busy and she would need to wait. My sister was okay with waiting but reasonably was not okay with being skipped over. She pointed this out to the sales associate, who started complaining that she was busy and the only one working. Shortly after, another young woman appeared and said she would take my sister to the back of the store to be fitted at a different bench. When checking out, the sales associate asked all the other customers if they were associated with a dance school to receive a discount. She did not ask my sister. (whose daughter is enrolled in a dance school.) My sister was so upset by this experience that she put down all the other items she intended to buy and only left with the shoes. The staff was rude and inconsiderate to the only black woman in the store and to no one else. It deeply saddens me that in 2023, these employees are not trained to be culturally responsive and unbiased toward customers. The solution to hide the black woman in the back of the store, segregated from the other customers, was atrocious. The way the sales associate treated her was inexcusable, and Boulder Body Wear needs to do better. Dance is for everyone, and this store needs to be more inclusive and inviting to people of all colors."

"We had a great experience with Boulder Body Wear. We needed a very specific pair of dancing shoes, and went in. The staff was very friendly, and gave us a few options to try. Their selection was large enough, and we found the perfect pair. I was impressed by the service, and the variety of clothes and shoes available."
