"Serving small bites with a creative twist, Yumcha caters to lovers of asian cuisine in a more casual atmosphere compared to its sister restaurant, Cholon. We spent our NYE dinner here and overall had an enjoyable experience. In particular, we enjoyed the cheese rangoon purses, the fried pork dumplings and the general tsos dumplings. The kimchi rice had an overly smoked, almost burnt flavor as well as the beef buns that I wasnt a super fan of. The Nigori was not typical of unfiltered sake in the way I am used to and just had a strong overwhelming taste of booze. Perhaps my favorite thing of all was the dessert! The thai iced tea sundae with boba on top was to die for and it really completed the meal."

"Wow this place was incredible. The food was sooo good and at such a friendly price point - especially during their happy hour. Anthony (the mustache man) was our server/bartender and was so helpful and friendly. He truly made the experience so much better! It’s a smaller restaurant but the atmosphere is on point and gives off cozy intimate but modern vibes. I would 1000% recommend if you’re looking for some yummy Asian food. We had both kinds of soup dumplings, bao buns, bahn mi flatbread, and chow fun. WOW. All of it was so incredible but my favorite was the chow fun. And for dessert I recommend the Thai tea sundae!"

"I've given this a couple chances but I won't give it any more. This would be the perfect spot to grab something quick on the way to or from the airport since it's so close to Union Station. Unfortunately their prices are just bonkers and their food mediocre. I did really enjoy the general tso's soup dumplings but at ~$4 a dumpling after tax and tip that's a little hard to stomach. I ordered their steamed pork dumplings at the same price point and was just done with this place once they came. I can manage a treat if it's a good dumpling but these were literally not even a step up from frozen dumplings. Small and not even well flavored. If each bite had been a delightful burst of flavor I'd have been fine with it but I have literally had better cheap Chinese takeout dumplings."

"Chance encounter with this place. Wanted to try something different and Asian fusion sounded nice. Food was a surprise discovery. Really nice flavors. Fried Pork Dumplings - although tiny portion but didn’t disappoint on taste. Beijing beef dumplings- steamed- were flavorful Chiang Mai Chicken curry - super delicious, a little spicy and tangy but amazing. Wok charred Chinese sausage fried rice - were bomb flavors. Sake was nothing special Tamarind vs Tonic were boring and watered down drink. 4 stars because of the cold servers, specially the girl who was also managing the bar. A little smile and politeness goes a long way but she seems to be missing that. The other server only smiled when it was time for us to tip. Or else she couldn’t care less. Go here for the food and ignore the boring servers."
