Great Clips

"Fully witnessed the older male barber scream at an elderly woman for no reason while I was waiting for my haircut. Myself and another customer immediately got up and left. The male barber was yelling about how miserable his job is while he was cutting someone’s hair. Will never go to a great clips again."

"I took my daughter to trim her hair. She told her to trim it to a certain length clearly. Then, after the person cut her hair I saw it and it was way shorter than told. The people are not proficient on cutting hair to the told length."

"Should've looked at reviews before I got here, wanted to save time and this had the shortest wait. Worst haircut of my life. Could've cut it better myself. Can't believe this person works cutting hair. She was very nice but instead of layers I basically have a bowl cut over longer hair. What on earth. Will need to go find a real stylist to fix this. Did not bother trying to get the girl to fix it bc it was so horrible I couldn't believe she even felt like this was presentable. I've had totally fine cuts at great clips but this one, I will avoid at all costs going forward."

"Visited Boulder for vacation, and came here for a haircut. I had to wait about 15 minutes. There was an older woman working, who seemed pretty sharp and competent, and a younger woman, Nia, who cut my hair. She was very nice, but I noticed her cutting off all my hair in front, when I'd shown her how I wore it, and told her I wanted it shortened only a little bit. But she cut it all off and because my glasses were off, it was hard for me to notice at first, but I finally did. So now I have 2/3 of my hair's front super-short (1/8"?), and the rest she just left as-is (1"?), even after I asked her to trim that part just a bit, so as to better match the mistake she'd made. She was flustered and didn't do that, and I didn't press it because I didn't want her cutting my hair. She tried to comp the haircut, but I said no, I'm paying for it. I suggested maybe she should discount it, and I gave her a nice tip. But honestly I am wondering if she is even licensed. Her English was not fantastic, but it was pretty good--easily good enough to understand me. It was a terrible haircut--easily the worst I have had in 50 years. In a case like this, the real fault lies with the management, who should know whether she is skillful. C'mon, management--do your job!"

"Have been going to great clips for a while for bang trims and have always been quite happy. This time I asked for her to blend the bangs into the framing pieces as I usually do and not only did she cut straight across with no blending on one side and kinda rough blending on the other, but also charged me for a full haircut because she cut “into the inner layers of my hair”. I don’t deny that seeing as she basically cut me the front half of a bowl cut, but still I was definitely overcharged for the quality and nature of the work done. I guess every person has a greatclips experience that drives them to find a real salon, but it’s still a bummer since I’ve usually had such good luck with them :("
