Reviews
"After reading some of the reviews, we went in with some skepticism. The menu looked interesting, and the photos look good. But the negative reviews made us wonder. Our experience was top quality. The service was as good as any we have had anywhere. The server was so friendly and quick and helpful. Every food item was good. We went with Combo A and had plenty of choices for the two of us. If we came with a larger group, we'd try the Combo B. They even bring ice cream at the end. We really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back. Update: We came back with a larger group and tried Combo B. There are so many food options you can't try them all. Everything was so good. We even had a table with 2 grills which made it so much more convenient. Will definitely be back again."
"❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌ I'm really disappointed with KoBa. The service was slow and inconsistent. At first, they were accommodating, but after the first round of dishes, portions got smaller and it was hard to get their attention for refills. Even just getting water took forever, with staff often chatting instead of helping customers. What's worse, the staff were rude. When we asked for more, they just threw food on the table without care. Plus, they seemed too focused on getting a tip when giving us the bill. Overall, the experience was marred by slow service, inconsistent portion sizes, and disrespectful behavior from the staff. I urge the management of KoBa to address these issues promptly to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for future customers."
"Our first visit to Koba on a brisk Saturday evening in March 2024 left a lasting impression. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was simply outstanding. We opted for Combo B, a wise choice that brought us the succulent Galbi short ribs, a generous assortment of veggies, and the fiery Buldak Ramen (and more!!). The beef sirloin and boneless ribs were standout dishes, and the chicken options didn't lag behind in flavor. A word to the wise: the Buldak Ramen packs a punch, so tread lightly if spicy isn't your middle name. A couple of logistical hiccups kept Koba from clinching a perfect 5. The absence of an indoor waiting area, coupled with a no-reservation policy, meant we braved a chilly 50-minute wait outdoors before retreating to our car until our table was ready. An indoor waiting space (e.g. a bar or seating) or the option to reserve a table would have been a more comfortable way to pass time. Additionally, navigating the cramped parking lot was a challenge, though we managed to secure a spot within 5-10 minutes. It seems that a reservations system could alleviate some of the parking congestion, as several patrons resorted to waiting in their vehicles. In conclusion, Koba delivers on the promise of exceptional food and service. Moses recommends Koba Korean BBQ AYCE, noting it's just a whisker away from a flawless 5-star experience!"
"I went here for my birthday, I am a Korean bbq fanatic. We are not really close to this location we drove 50 minutes to try this. I was surprised that when I put in for a table the hostess said the wait is an hour, I said that’s fine, and she was asking me “are you sure?” And had me not just double confirm but she wanted me to triple confirm I was willing to wait for it. I drove from an hour away in terrible snow packed road conditions to eat here and she’s like trying to talk me out of waiting for a table. Very odd interaction, can’t say I’ve been talked out of eating somewhere. As for the restaurant, it’s kind of small. Not many tables here, and very busy. We came on a Sunday night and was packed. Their beers are also $10 each for Korean/japanese brands. They charge extra for flavored soju ($14) and that’s triple the cost at the store. Price gouging on the soju. I did like their sides, specifically mung bean sprout - legendary side. And the kimchi was above average for kbbq places (in my experience). I liked the fact you could get baby octopus, especially on the cheaper meal set. Octopus was delicious. Overall I think the place was delicious however it’s not worth the drive for us, we can drive half the distance and have equally good kbbq, if not better (with no wait). I think the cheaper meal set is a better value. There wasn’t anything amazing on the higher price except for shortrib and I think they limit you. Shin ramen also there but who cares, $2 at home, the upgrade is $7 you gotta make that 7 bux count and plan out how you’re going to make it worth it, the truth is, you’re not unless you’re a beef tongue or ribeye lover."
"We had tried to come and eat here recently on a Sunday night and there was a 45 minute wait and we were not gonna be able to be seated. So we came back on a Sunday morning right when they open at 11 AM. That was the best decision ever. We had the most amazing waitress ever Viv. She explained the whole process to us and we were so unsure what to have that. She offered to bring items that were popular and she even cooked the food for us. It was such an amazing experience. Her customer service topped the whole experience. The food was fresh and everything tasted so great. I have a very picky, food critic, friend from New York who thinks Colorado’s food is not good at all and this blew her mind our way! We cannot wait to come back. They have a cool little robot that will bring your food to your table if they get busy, but since we had the amazing waitress, we didn’t get a chance to experience that. The decor was super cute and all the staff was friendly. It was a little pricey, and you only get two options for menu. But we recommend doing the most expensive option. That way you can get to take everything on the menu."
