"Pretty sure MHP stands for Monsters Hating Patients. Unreliable. Untrustworthy. Unsupportive. My mental health has only gotten worse since beginning services here."

"The sheer incompetence at this facility is astounding. Over the past three months I have received over eight calls and several emails from MHP reminding me of an appointment which I canceled months ago or asking whether I'd like to receive services. Every single time they call, I ask to be taken off of their call list. Every single time they call, I remind them that I canceled my appointment months ago. Every single time they call, the person on the other end says "oh oops" and says they will resolve the issue but they never do. This is starting to feel like harassment. Also serious question: How can a facility which is so staggeringly bad at communication be trusted to provide mental health services when such a large part of mental health care involves actually listening to your patients? Bottom line: stay away from this place."

"This place is a joke. My partner is dealing with Complex PTSD after working as a Fire Fighter for over 12years. He’s been struggling with overwhelming anger and debilitating depression as well as memory loss and many other labels. He was prescribed Prozac and it helped significantly. Due to his poor memory and daylight savings time. Now they are forcing him to go without meds for several month before seeing him and refilling his prescriptions. Detestable. I’m disgusted. His doctors name was something along the lines of Michele Schultz."

"I've been forced to go here for years! It's been hell. It's the only place outside of Denver that fully took my insurance. After my old lady left there I had to see a new psychiatrist. Michelle Shults. She will up your medication when you're in an extenuating circumstance that you can handle if you mention it.They are feeding off medicaid. They are a joke. They don't allow you to be on a pharmacy's auto refill list unless you have bi weekly appointments which my medicaid barely covers my meds AND MHP visits. Mental Health Partners should rebrand and rename to be what they really are: Medicaid Hoarding Partners"

"I'm not sure what MHP stands for, but they do not stand for patient care or taking care of those who need it. Almost every step in the process to get care here is humiliating and lacks dignity and understanding. Need to get started? Oh, just show up and wait around all morning (better get there early!) and maybe a case worker will be able to get you in for an intake interview. But if they can't, you are expected to try again the next time they have open waiting hours. When I finally DID get seen for my intake interview the woman callously told me that I "didn't seem very invested in treatment." When I asked her what she meant she told me it was because I didn't cry during my interview or give her many details. I told her my diagnosis (which I could verify) and my history, but that wasn't good enough. She pried for very private details that I don't just give out to anyone in a clerical position. I was almost denied services until I told her what she wanted to hear. It was humiliating. Then there was the unwillingness to make any appointments ahead of time. It was same-day appointments only, which is literally impossible for most people of low income. I myself was a preschool teacher and couldn't wait until the same day to try to make an appointment. How was I supposed to arrange a substitute and get time off? My choice was to lose my job or not get care- so I went without care for a very long time. Eventually I was able to establish myself as a patient, but I was told that they took my insurance, but when I called my insurance rep to verify (so I wouldn't get stuck with a bill I couldn't pay) he told me they did NOT take my insurance and I shouldn't go, so I IMMEDIATELY canceled the appointment with 48+ hours notice. I recently qualified for medicaid again, so I'm trying desperately to get in to be seen. Now, because someone didn't cancel the appointment correctly when I ABSOLUTELY DID call and cancel it, my only option is walk-in care again (with a long wait, again, no promise of being seen that day) with someone who is NOT my provider. Again- low income patients DON'T have the luxury of sitting around all day to MAYBE get seen, or maybe be told to come back another day. I'm done with being treated without dignity or respect. We're not talking about an appointment to get my nails done. This is mental health care that I desperately need so I don't end up in the ER or dead, and my only option is to go sit for hours and hope that I get seen and not have to repeat the same thing the next day? It's so humiliating to have to beg for services and be treated like I'm worthless and don't matter. I'd rather skip it and hope that I don't lose my life because of it. Thanks, MHP. You're the best. Maybe it's time to reevaluate some of these policies and treat people with just a bare minimum of dignity. It's pretty hard to reach out for help in the best of circumstances, but this has just been such a defeating and embarrassing process that I don't think I will keep trying."
