Super 8 by Wyndham Cortez/Mesa Verde Area

"It's the cheapest place in town for a reason -- It's a dump. I stayed here 2 nights. It's not maintained. It's loud through the walls and floors. There was a large gap in the door frame and a large gap between the AC and wall that whistled when cold air would blow into the room. My first room had sticky floors and there was an actual diIdo in the nightstand next to the Bible. See pic. The guy at the front desk barely spoke English and he wouldn't let me check in early even though it was very cold outside and they had plenty of rooms available. I had nowhere to go so I walked around town just to try to stay warm. He also wouldn't let me have a top floor room any night. He said they were all full but there were 3 cars in the lot. They put me in a different room and said they wouldn't put anyone above me, but sure enough at 11pm, I was woke up by stomping above. There us also no breakfast even though they advertise it and have a breakfast room set up."

"Free breakfast (as advertised)..nope, not at this place. Ice...nope, not at this place (even though there was an ice bucket). A nice view, though...opened the curtains and 5 foot away is a block building not letting you see anything. Only going to be here one night so it's not so bad. Thanks"

"Manger super rude and unhelpful. When a bad storm hit I called and ask if the room was able to be canceled with a refund. He must have misunderstood me because he went canceled the room without my approval. I ask if he could uncancel the room and he said no. I then asked if I could receive a refund which he also denied. I understand one or the other but to not undo the cancellation when it was a misunderstanding on his part or refund the room when I am not booking it makes no sense. I was screwed out of my money and the room."

"Guy really didn't want to help us. It was inconvenient for him to help us. The room was clean. But had broken furniture. Breakfast was not good. Normally they have a few things out. We got up early for it and there wasn't anything much out."

"One of the worst motels ever! First of all the staff seemed kind of sketchy, made me a little uneasy. The room was dark, dirty, old, smelly, and gross. There was no smoke detector, just the wires hanging down from the ceiling. There was just a piece of board around the air conditioner and the flimsy board had holes in it. And look out the window by the air contioner and theres a wall with a little space between which was dark and dirty and full of junk. And there were very sketchy people hanging around in the parking lot. WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE THERE! We loaded our stuff right back to the car and got out of there as fast as we could!! Didnt even try to get our money back, that's how bad it was. Stay safe and stay somewhere else. Also dont let the lobby fool you, the lobby is updated and beautiful."
