"The rooms had a beautiful view, was very clean and the location was walking distance to a great restaurant. Parking was easy as well. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating."

"Inexpensive, but run down. We just needed a place to stay after an emergency trip out of state. The “continental” breakfast was anything but. We came to the breakfast area around 8:15. Almost all of the hot items were empty. We let the attendant know. She brought out a few soggy hash browns. The doors to the breakfast area were promptly locked at 9:00. After locking them, the attendant went to another room and didn’t come back out. People who knocked on the locked doors were ignored by the attendant. The breakfast attendant clearly wasn’t very interested in doing her job. Breakfast left a bad taste in our mouths!"

"BED BUGS!!!! We stayed here twice in a week. The first stay was great. We asked for the same room but they gave us a room two doors down. What a difference it made. This room had a broken heater and toilet. It was incredibly hot and said it was 64 degrees. The toilet ran the entire time but those things are doable what warranted the one star was waking up to bed bug bites all over our bodies. When I told the front desk the guy didn't seem surprised at all and just said "Sorry you had to go through that." When we got home we had to leave all of our clothes from the trip outside and and bring them in one load at a time to wash on sanitize loads. I would have thought there should be something more than just "Sorry you had go through that." What ever you do don't go to room 119."

"Beautiful location with comfortable accommodations. I wish I had asked for a third-floor room for a better view! Skylights and plants give the indoor pool area a tropical feel in the middle of winter. The generous breakfast room offered scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, pancakes, hot oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, pastries and fruit."

"We were staying one night at the Baymont after visiting Mesa Verde. The hotels in this area are expensive for the quality, so we stayed here as it was a good price and seemed like a decent place. The hotel is similar to an Embassy Suites, with many rooms facing indoors to a large “courtyard” type area with a swimming pool. There are also rooms that face out. We had reserved a King suite, and when we first entered the lobby it was warm and humid and smelled a bit fusty. You could smell the pool - and definitely hear the kids playing in it. The staff was really nice, super friendly, a tad casual, but no complaints there at all; however, there was just an overall unsettling vibe to the place. Honestly, it didn’t seem super clean. We got to our indoor facing room, and it definitely looked dated. It was also extremely cold. When we turned on the heat, nothing happened. We called downstairs and someone came up to look at it. They said the heat wasn’t working and they’d need to move us to another room. As it turned out, they didn’t have any other king suites available, but they said they had a room with two queen beds. I thought that was odd - and I was right. It was two doubles. This was an out-facing room, which was fine at that point, even though we preferred one facing inside for security reasons. It doesn’t seem like they clean the rooms regularly or that housekeeping is particularly diligent. There was only one bar of soap in the room, and no liquid soap for the shower. So that was really odd. We didn’t realize it until we were showering, so we just used the one bar for both the sink and shower. I would recommend checking the room. It did look like there was a room next to us that never got serviced after checkout, so maybe they’re short staffed. Breakfast was downstairs in a very large room - it was almost like a meal in a church meeting room. The food was fine, standard fare for that type of hotel. When we went to check out, my husband said he wanted a refund for the difference in cost between the two rooms. So they refunded a bogus “pet fee” (we didn’t have any pets with us) to make up the difference. Overall, it just wasn’t the best experience."
