"We came here for my birthday because the menu looked good. And Durango isn't exactly known for good restaurants. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but overall, I wasn't thrilled. Upon entrance, the place seemed nice. Lights were low. So low actually, I had to break out my phone to illuminate the menu. 636 was a quaint place, but the atmosphere was odd with a rowdy bar only 8' away. Service was terrific. Our waitress was friendly. However, when your entree comes out while you're still enjoying the appetizers, it doesn't exactly leave a good impression. My steak was parked at the edge of the table while we were finishing the calamari. Food: the calamari was mostly slaw. It seemed like a lot of food, but the plate was mostly slaw. The calamari was good and while the slaw was odd at first, it did taste good. I ordered the blackened ribeye. I had immediate problems with my dish from the get-go. The steak, while cooked to a good medium rare, sat on a bed of sauce with an afro of onion straws. Was I eating at Applebee's?? If I didn't know any better, I would have never known I ordered a blackened steak. It was hard to taste the steak when every bite included the sauce. And the asparagus was lumped on the plate like an after thought; in fact, there were no tips, only stems. Again, I wasn't impressed. It was a lackluster birthday dinner. And I more than likely, won't be back."

"We had a large crowd, but we had made reservations, so we didn’t have to wait. We were seated outside but it had a heated area also sectioned off so it was private to us. The food was fantastic! We enjoyed steak, salmon and other variety of dishes. The service was excellent, thank you Jack!! We all had a wonderful evening!"

"Party of 3 dinner on a Friday night. Super impressed with the food, price point, and service. Our server, Jack, was very polite and attentive. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. All the sides were tasty. And the cocktails were delicious. The atmosphere was great as well. Just dark enough to give it a special feel, but still warm and welcoming. 10/10 will recommend to anyone I know travelling to Durango."

"The food was amazing! As a started we had the pan seared tuna. So maybe great flavors, and the wasabi was fresh and strong. I had the best filet mignon I’ve had in years. The potato lasagna was amazing to go with it, as well as the blue cheese spread. The cocktail was strong and delicious. My husband had the blackened ribeye steak and really liked it. The gnocchi wasn’t the best he’s had. We finished off our meal with creme brûlée, which was creamy but not the best I’ve had."
