Pop Sushi

"I know they were busy, but the waitress forgot my drink order, and it took 15 minutes for it to show. The sushi wasn't the best I've ever had. There was one good one and then one that had an off-putting taste from the fish. It was an ok experience overall, but I think it was overpriced for the quality."

"Took my husband here for his Birthday. Friendly staff and nice environment. Prices and food were very good. Will come again. Edit: September 2023 Within hours of eating here. I got the worst food poisoning ever. Threw up 4 times. Last 2 including blood. Worst god awful stomach cramps I have ever experienced. Me and husband ate the exact same thing, yet I got the food poisoning? I know it was the food from here since that’s all that was coming up. Bits and chunks of crab, down to the last bits of rice. The only thing I had different was a mojito. Contaminated mint leaves ? Ice ? Cross contaminated California roll ? The edamame bowl also had bits octopus? Fish ? Some type of meat ? I had noticed every time we went, there were new sushi chefs and rolls were on a 30-40 minute wait. Witnessed a sushi chef pick up some trash from the floor, really hope they changed their gloves after that. I really loved going to this place weekly but I am traumatized from the pain and vomiting I went through. I picked up something god awful from this place. I don’t think I’ll ever be back."

"If you’re visiting Durango or live here and haven’t tried this place…put it on your list of restaurants to try! Their Pop Tuna sashimi dish is in my top 3 favorite sushi dishes I’ve ever had. The ingredients pair perfectly together. The atmosphere feels hip and service was spot on. I would recommend calling ahead for reservations as the restaurant stayed packed the entire evening."

"Atmosphere, service, and food quality are consistently extraordinary. Everyone that works here have the biggest hearts, they are always striving to provide the best possible service. Sushi is no simple feat, I imagine it cannot be easy to run a restaurant as smoothly as they do, especially with the high volume of customers they receive most nights. Be kind & respectful to the staff when you come here! This is not a fast food establishment, this food is delicious and quality which takes time, so do not come here with those expectations. Lots of love for this place and its people ❤️"

"Absolutely phenomenal! We are both call Charleston, SC home, so now that we live here it has been a struggle to find good sushi. This place knocked it out of the park with deliciousness, service, and all around fabulous! ***Update****went for a quick mid week dinner and it was AHHHH-MMMAAZZZINGGGG as usual!!"
